Tremendous product! This is the black garlic you want, delicious and nutritious peeled cured cloves as opposed to whole heads provided by other sellers. Not at all expensive as there's no wasted weight and worth every penny as it is a super food as others have mentioned so a little goes a long way. And it tastes great!! Flavor profile and texture not as good as freshly made black garlic, but who has the time to make their own?

US grown peeled, fermented cloves that are moist, and easy to chop. The product from China was hard and dried out.

This product is sold in 5 oz and 16 oz sizes by the seller. I thought about just trying a 5 oz to try it out, but decided to just go for it. The product arrived today and so I opened it and used it in tonights dinner. The cloves are nicely cured, have a semi-sweet taste with no bitterness or after taste. All the cloves are nicely peeled so you just pull them out of the jar and use them as you need them. Some other black garlic sold on Amazon is full garlic bulbs, and are sourced from outside the US. so you have extra prep to use them, and you do not know the sourcing for the actual garlic, nor how it is cured. This product is completely sourced in the US, and the cloves in the jar are all well cured, yet still slightly moist (think soft and chewy), and easy to mince and use in food prep.

I thought this would be a North America grown option to replace my regular brand of Black Garlic when it was not available. I can't say it didn't taste right -- it did, but it's VERY VERY messy. _If_ you're OK using a spoon to get your black garlic out and eat it right away, then you might be happy with this, but I was not.

Realizing that garlic is a "superfood" that I did not eat enough of I looked for a way to eat it daily. This is so good it's like candy. It tastes a bit like licorice, if licorice wasn't a plastic rope people got in movie theatres. For some reason I absorb the vitamin B6 in it pretty quickly after eating it and it wakes me up in the morning - I have about a tablespoon or so in the mornings on an empty stomach. In the evenings it tastes a bit sour, but not bad. I will be buying tons more of this.
