This states not to use on unfinished hardwood floors. How can you tell if your hardwood is unfinished? House is 66 years old with original floors.

To determine if your floors are finished, pour a small amount of water on the floor and let it sit for about 30 minutes. If the water is absorbed into the floor, it is unfinished. If it is still on the floor, the floor is finished.

Can this cleaner be used on waxed hardwood floors to pick up surface soil prior to buffing?
