What's the difference between new version & old version of lilly of the valley by yardley

The original scent smelled exactly like the flower Lily of the Valley. The new version smells like a powdery, soapy mix of scents and very faint Lily of the Valley....not a true lily of the valley scent.

Made in England? Thank you.

If you search this brand you can read way more details about its 250 year history than my reply. I remembered the 60s super model, Twiggy, being their representative. I'm 71 years old and have been using it since my teens. Hope this helps, good luck!

is it in a glass or plastic bottle?

the two I received were indeed glass bottles.

Such a great classic scent

That doesn't cost an arm and a leg. This scent is a childhood memory for me. I remember the Tinkerbell colonge sold at Disneyland land back in the late 60's smelled exactly like this. This is why I'm fond of it. Last weekend my Mom came over and asked for a spray of one of my perfumes and I sprayed her with this, and her eye's opened wide, and she smiled and said in a very excited voice, "What is that, it smell so good!!!" She was super suprised to find out it wasn't one of my pricey perfumes that I collect. It smells like what Lilly of the Valley should, for sure!
