Why does the purple and gold say black and gold? ?Im confused

Well in fairness there is some purple in the the shoe but it is by far mostly black and then even if quite a small amount but much more striking are the gold insets against the black background ? Hope this helps ? But my favourite shoe in all their colours ! Fred
