Plenty Powerful - Easy to Use - Light-Weight and No Mess
This is a really serious tool that is pretty much as capable as a bass-powered chainsaw. Mine does drain a battery pretty quickly, but I purchased a 4-pack (here on Amazon) and for sure, most of my projects will not require more than a couple of batteries at any given time, so I'm cool with that. What I really appreciate is not having to mix gas, mess with a choke, yank a cord, etc. Cuts through 10-12-inch pine like a champ. Haven't tried it with harder woods, but I'm sure it's up to the task. The other thing that is excellent is that it is whisper quiet. You don't alert the neighborhood when you are out in the woods sawing up a fallen tree. It feeds its own bar oil, and seems to do it pretty efficiently. I sawed for probably 40 minutes first time out and there's still probably 2/3 oil capacity left.

Works perfect
This electric chainsaw is awesome. You just need a big battery like a 12.

Excellent battery operated chainsaw
Bought this 2 years ago. I have 40 acres of trees and shelterbelts that need constant maintenance. This saw performance is excellent. It cuts as much as a gas saw without the hassle of hoping it will start. I've cut up to 16 inch hardwood ash and mulberry with no problems. Just need to make sure to bring a couple of extra batteries. Highly recommend this product.

Solid chainsaw
Solid chainsaw for small projects, the biggest tree i cut was 14 inches with no problem. The bar it comes with is a little flimsy I changed it to an Oregon bar its much better.

Worked great...but
Love the light weight. I have been lugging a 20-inch-bar gas chainsaw for 40 years and decided to lighten up. I read here about brand new ones throwing their chain. That should be expected of a brand-new factory-set chain tension since brand-new chains will quickly stretch and become loose. First thing I did was tighten the chain a bit tight. Worked fine. The chain has a thin kerf requiring a 5/32-inch file (good - requires less power) and is really sharp. It was throwing out wood shavings the size of toothpicks. The chain is an Oregon brand, not Milwaukee, which is good since Oregon chainsaw products are easily available. I cut birch logs 4 to 10-inch diameter for an hour. It used one battery completely, then that battery was too hot to charge, had to let it cool for several hours. It used part of another battery that went right back on the charger no problem. I am very pleased to be free of my old heavy gas saw but also elated to be free of 50:1 gas:oil mix. The only reasons I rate 4 stars instead of 5 are: - The scrench is conveniently located on the saw but really difficult to pull out - I needed pliers to extract the scrench - A 5/32-inch round file could easily be included but is not - A 0.025-inch depth gauge and flat file could also have been easily included but are not UPDATE June 5, 2025: Two days ago, I tried cutting a 12-inch diameter freshly-fallen green coastal spruce. Chain was sharp and throwing out large chips. But the power head (pun intended) could not cut it. It did not have the oomph to do the job.

Conveniently does the job
Easy to use and convenient. Very happy to be replacing my gas and oil mix chain saw and have done the same with all gas-mix and corded tools. Also, have been a mechanic for 30+ years and in the last 8 years as new Milwaukee mechanic tools came out, I replaced most of my air tools,(Snap-on and Mac). Honestly though, had to keep certain air tools which are still better and have more power for certain jobs. The chainsaw has lived up to expectations, cutting down thick hedges,(too thick for the hedge trimmer), mango tree, and some hard kiwi wood for firewood. No, it won't replace a professional gas-oil, but for my needs it does the job. Very easy to clean and maintain. Arrived faster than expected for a great price, but should have been packed in a cover box and not the original Milwaukee box that got a little torn up. Overall, I am very satisfied with its performance and ease of use.

Good product!
Great tool. If you just need to trim up a few things, it's great. It's not intended to go logging with, but if a tree has your road blocked it'll get it done. I've worked up a couple of 8 to 10" ones with no problem.
