Are the xl socks wider on the leg? I don’t

I really do not know about x-l We bought for a size 10.1/2T size .Tey were for my husband 165 lbs and he tried to give them yo me 135lbs and they we still very very tight .

Why is size small not prime available and way more expensive just for just a small??
