Very good if you are avoiding gluten.
Just recently at 62 I have suddenly seemed to have become intolerant of gluten. (oldest daughter diagnosed as Coeliac at 14 but until now I have always been fine). Anyway my usual brand of curry sauce (Goldfish) has now gone in the bin because it contains wheat. Bought this here is what I did today: Cut up one medium onion and softened/browned in vegetable oil in a frying pan for a few minutes. Then put cooked onion to one side in a bowl. Added 1/2 can of drained garden peas. Diced a cooked chicken breast (approximately 110 grams per breast from supermarket). Added to the onion. Measured out 50 grams of this curry powder and added to the frying pan added boiling water from the kettle and stirred over medium heat to get a sauce of the required consistency. Was fairly easy to smooth out any lumps. Added the bowl of onion/chicken/peas to the sauce and heated through while stirring and adding some more boiling water as needed until the 3 ingredients were warmed through. Microwaved a pack of Veetee sticky steamed filtered rice for 1 minute. When ready I used a large deep bowl from the local chinese supermarket (melamine with oriental style patterns on it) with rice on one side and the curry on the other. I ate this as a single meal for myself the curry taste was somewhat different than my usual brand but still very nice with a medium spice heat to it and a very good lingering spicy feel in the mouth though not too spicy. In my opinion both the Tongmaster's Chinese Curry Sauce powder and the Veetee sticky rice have good shelf lives and are quick and easy to prepare. Tinned peas have a good shelf life also. You can pick up cooked chicken and raw onions at the shops at the drop of a hat. I will definitely be keeping this curry sauce in my cupboard from now on.

Curry for tea
It’s often difficult to find gluten free tasty curry sauce but this is delicious. Easy to make, with clear instructions- and I particularly like that it gives you measurements for just a small portion. Good quality and definitely good value. Even my non- gluten avoiding husband loves it! I will be buying more!!

LOVE IT!
So thankful to find a gluten free curry sauce powder to create my own sauce.. Fantastic as a base and the consistency is good, it mixes well and goes smooth when heating.. the thickness is perfect.. My only criticism is that the flavour wasn't exactly how I wanted it, but that's fine because I added a teaspoon of my own 'curry powder' mix (the one you get from international food stores) used for Indian and Caribbean dishes and 1/2 teaspoon of Chinese 5 spice to the powder, before you mix it with cold water and then heat.. I also added a small amount of creamed coconut and this makes the perfect curry sauce mix for me! I'd have given it 5 stars if it needed no tweaking, but it's a 5 star for gluten free curry base, definitely recommend!

Okay
Good value for the amount you get, powder smells good when measuring out. Very easy make, nice consistency….BUT…it has a definite sour note that dominates the flavour. I had to add: Chinese 5 spice, curry powder, sweet chilli sauce, Siracha & garlic to help round it out. In the end it tasted ok but it doesn’t make me want to rush to make again.
