Will it work with a table saw

No. This sled is meant to be guided by the fence on a router table; that can't be done on a table saw.

how does compare to the rockler coping sled?

Much better. Over time the Rockler sled warped. The base on the Fulton sled is much thicker ( 1/2 inch ). The plexglass guide it's much easer yo use.

Does this unit have the solid 3/8" phenolic base as does the Rockler unit?

No, it is laminated MDF. But is very sturdy.
