5R Light Copper Chestnut Permanent Hair Colour, 4 OZ

I have been using this product for some years now, mixing the colors. It is less toxic than most colorants and does not have an unpleasant odor or burn my scalp. You do have to leave it on a bit longer and must be careful as it can stain counters/walls, etc if it spatters so apply carefully. Also, be warned that it is runs very dark. The blond is really not blond at all but brunette. I mix a darker color and a light blond color and it works well. It also lasts frankly longer than the Loreal stuff I used to us. Great product overall.

I was somewhat skeptical about trying this product since my only previous experience with semi-natural hair dye left my hair flat, dull, dried out, and faded quickly, but I decided to try it out and was actually very impressed! The color stays true/doesn't fade dramatically, if at all, it doesn't dull my hair, and covers my dye-resistant gray completely. There are a few tricks I've found in using this dye: 1) It's pretty hard to get all of the dye out - I didn't realize this the first time I used it and was still getting dye out two shampoos later. The second time I used it I was extra diligent in rinsing and didn't have any more problems. 2) Hair is super-dry immediately after rinsing - I used an extra-super moisturizing conditioner immediately after rinsing, and it doesn't seem to cause any actual damage once conditioned. It does come with a conditioner pack, but it's full of perfume, which gives me a migraine, so having my own on hand is a must. 3) The red comes out much more "purple-red" than I really wanted. The second time I used this color I mixed 1 part dark golden blonde with 3 parts of the light copper chestnut and it toned the color down just to where I wanted it. Overall, I think this is a great dye - it's not perfect, but I like it much better than the big-name chemical dyes I've used in the past.

The stuff is quite good. It is not strong and given fashion color when I mixed 5R with 4N and 7N at 1:1:1. In my experience, the leaving time should be longer than it is recommended by producer if your hair color tends to black. I have worn hair color application for an hour and half after applying and that did not sorry to myself.

The product was good. I shopped the 5R the third time. But this time it did not go well. The first time, I tried to use it and stayed 42 around minutes but the grey hair was still there and uncovered. After 7 days around later I tired the second time and this time I let the color stay over 1 hour and it turned out better but still had uncovered whites. It is stranged and did not know whether the product was not kept well or it has been kept too long and not effective anymore from the seller. It is disappointing

I did not get any grey coverage after applying this . Waste of money
