Is this grease safe for use with Rubber or plastic applications?

I use this grease for installing circuit boards into an X-Ray generator whereby the connectors are plastic with metal pins inside and very high voltages are present. This serves as both a lubricant and prevents certain types of corrosion. I would say it's safe for plastic applications. I can't comment on rubber applications.

does any one have any silicone free dielectric grease?

This product is silicone free. It is made with silica which is completely different from silicone.

How long is this good for till it expires on the shelf and on the application itself?

The grease is certified by Nye to have a shelf life of 4 years, and the grease you receive is generally just a few months old. However, we've heard from Nye engineers that the shelf life is basically unlimited if stored in indoor conditions. Application life will entirely depend on the environment, things such as dust, dirt exposure, water, high temperatures etc, will greatly effect application life. In most situations you are looking at probably an application between a year and the life of the product.
