Best and healthiest cereal in the US
Alpen is our everyday breakfast during the week. I mix it with fresh berries and fruit of the season, little milk on top of it and voila - healthy, tasty, and fast to prepare! We never grow tired of it. You don't feel hungry after 1 hour like you do when you eat one of those airy and sugar loaded cereals even if claimed to be whole wheat. Best and healthiest cereal choice on the market in my opinion. Pricey, but well worth it. Note after I've read some of the other reviews: I never tried UK Alpen and no, it might not taste like European muesli. It would taste too bland for me if I didn't add fresh fruit - strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, bananas, peaches, you name it. But it's perfect with fruit and I still think it's the best choice on the US market. It's sold nowhere in the store where I live, so I've had to try a variety of other so called healthy and whole wheat cereals when I happened to run out of it.

False Misleading- Bait and Switch
I have purchase this product 2 times. both times it cost me $38. my first time I received 6 boxes. the second time I recieved 1 box. the picture stayed the same showing 6 boxes and saying pack of 6. the price stayed the same but sneakily the title was updated to say pack of 1. I reordered the item quickly and only saw picture didnt check title. I was extremely annoyed to recieve 1 box and realize I got bamboozled with a Bait and switch. I love the product. It tastes amazing and is a big part of my breakfast.

Good, but not as good as the UK version.
I fell in love with Alpen when I lived in the UK. The only version readily available in the US is the Canadian version. I couldn't live without it, but it's not the same as in the UK. If the UK version were available at the same price, I would be thrilled!

From Flavoursome to Boring - Do Not Buy, Try Shredded Cardboard Instead
To my disadvantage I chose to ignore other reviews having been a consumer of this product since then 1980s. Let me be clear, I tried the latest recipe and then threw away all of the five remaining boxes. Whatever has been changed is definitely not for the better. What was one of the best breakfast cereals ever produced is only suitable for the recycling bin. A waste of money and a tremendous loss and disappointment
