great build quality, easy install, perfect fit

I got a set of these to use as bedroom door locks (didn't need anything secure). The metal looks and feels nice, they slide easily, and I was able to install it into a very solid old wood door frame without issue. As long as you read the instructions and mark your holes it is pretty much foolproof. I read other reviews with issues with the screws and with the latch not sliding over the screws all the way. My order did not have either problem. I like how they include both mounting options as well!

We wanted an extra know for safety and accidental opening of door by our kids.. we put it on height to not allow the kids to open the door for any stranger pros - good design specially hiding the screw underneath cons - slight paint came off during setup itself. Also, it was bit unsure on durability with the pattern.. but that could just be me. Overall does the intended job.

Perfect for what I needed them for. Solid brass, and the pieces fit together properly. Would buy again

Our house was built in 1899 and some of the windows don’t stay up on their own, even though the rope/pullies/weights are in place and functional. I used two of these on a larger window and it worked perfectly. I would not use these to secure a door against intruders, though. It is a bit lightweight for that.

As other people mentioned the sliding lock gets stiff so at times locking and unlocking is a little hard. The screws provided were more malleable than I would have liked. I was able to screw 2 of them halfway and then couldn’t get them in any further. When I tried to unscrew them, the screw head had widened and distorted so the screwdriver didn’t fit in them anymore. I had to spend several minutes using pliers to get the screws off. I was able to use some adhesive and very strong super glue to affix the lock and so far it’s holding up. I wish the screws themselves had been stronger and a little bigger so they could have been more durable. The install would have been a lot easier if the screws were better.

Fabulous quality easy to install and looks clean and modern ide buy it again As a side note it was several dollars cheaper on Amazon than at our local hardware stores

Worked great for what I used it for, but as other reviewers said it definitely needs oil as it's very stiff out of the packaging.

Installation was slightly hard as it would not always be level. This is not the fault of the product and instead an evaluation of our ability to put it on. The lock is sturdy, however it does not slide easily. It requires a bit more force than usual to slide it left and right. Depending on how you choose to see it, this could be good or bad.
