7W is equal to the wattage you'd put in a night light. Only the C9 is slightly larger than the C7 night light size. You can't expect more watts out of a bulb. I've been buying these bulbs for years for various novelty lights around the house for ambiance. Some are lit 24/7. They are bright enough for my needs and are long lasting.
