Good product but finishing and the polish could have been better

I looooved this jewellery box, especially as a gift for a friend for their wedding! It's both in my budget and made with care and love! I have recommended it to most everyone and plan on buying it again for another wedding

It is too good for self use or gifting purpose

By all means it is functional and the wood feels and looks good. But what it lacks is the finishing of a product that is made with care. There are tiny bit of splinters everywhere and though they are soft they are not good to eyes and feel and there are sharp corners meaning, it hasn't been sanded to finish. There are also pinch points that hurt and kids are also tight. There are areas that are not flush and perfect. There's also no lock.

I like design of the product, but the top compartment opening is difficult because of very less tolerance is maintained due to this handling may be difficult for ladies.
