If the oled screen uses sda and scl pins, how can i also use a sensor (ir temp) that also uses sda pins?

Theoretically, you can connect up to 127 I2C devices to the same pins not just two. This is because each I2C device has its own different address that uses to send/receive data.

This may be a stretch for TinyGS. It DOES NOT work out of the box. This is a V3 which is not compatible with TinyGS at this (04.2023) time.

Only the the header pins and you don't even need to solder those in if you are not mounting it on a PCB or breadboard. FWIW, I just took mine out of the box and plugged it into an antenna and the computer. I have never had to solder anything.

Device does not power on via usbc. requires a battery connected to turn on. tried about 6 different usbc cables and outlets. this a feature?

It should work without a battery. If yours doesn't run off a USB cable the battery will never get get charged. Sounds like a return is required.
