Doctor Who: The Christopher Eccleston & David Tennant Collection

Excellent DVD set for the first four seasons of the 2005 Doctor Who series. The discs themselves were fine (playable) and the box they came in is nice (as far as DVD boxes go). I also purchased the Matt Smith and the Peter Capaldi DVD sets (which I also recommend) and will probably buy the Jodie Whittaker DVD set (once the price comes down, that is). Also, another reviewer stated that there were missing episodes. Nooooo, don't believe that because these discs contain ALL of the episodes and specials. They were likely making an ASSUMPTION about missing episodes since S1 Episode 13 is not on disc 1, it's actually on disc 2. Do I recommend? Yes, yes I do. Do i regrest this purchase? No, not at all.

I was so pleased to find this 12 DVD set at such a ridiculously low price on Amazon. It resurrected my DVD player after 5 years of inactivity. We stream most of what we watch, but Dr Who without additional subscriptions proved to be elusive. Now, bought, paid for and we're able to watch the brilliant shows over and over again without having to concern ourselves on the ownership wars going on within the mega entertainment industry.

As a Doctor Who fan, I came into the series with Peter Capaldi's collection, so it was a great bit of retro joy to see how the Doctor evolved and regenerated into that Doctor which Peter played and then Jodie. Eccleston (the 9th Doctor) is a great Doctor because he is so jaded and is liberated, in many ways, from the darkness of the Time War by his interactions with Rose Tyler. His sacrifice to save Rose, which brings his regeneration into the 10th Doctor (Tennant) is even greater because while I wish there had been more Eccleston Doctor era, Tennant is fantastic. His optimism after the cynical 9th Doctor drives the entire story into a new light as he travels with Rose, then Martha, and Donna, only to experience the tragedy of losing the life he had come to love again as he saves the world from his own people: The Time Lords, and their diabolical plan to free their home planet from a time lock they are imprisoned in. Truly Tennant is a great performer, and a great Doctor of the revived era. I highly recommend it to any and all who love good sci-fi and story telling. The story's are out of this world fantastic.

I know DVDs might be old fashioned to some folks, but I really like the assurance of having physical media for my fav shows. While there are cons, the pros of having discs is that you own it. It's yours. And you are not at the whims of a streaming service. I thought it was a great price for I got.

I love Doctor WHO! I was so excited to see these listed. I haven’t bought a DVD in years but for the Doctor I bought 3 sets. Great picture, sharp images and I have no problems with playback! I plan on getting all the specials. These are my favorite 2 Doctors!

On disc 9. No problems so far, box is a little questionable as far as durability, still a great show.

Arrived in perfect shape and really quickly, have all the episodes and special episodes of the ninth and tenth Doctor (except The Day of the Doctor, but it is more a 11thishe Doctor's special episode so that is why), have amazing quality and even though you probably know it already because Doctor Who, it is the best show ever. The only things I'm not a big fan of are the 2 clips systems used to hold the dvds in the box, because I always feel like I can damage the DVD when I get it in or out of the box, but I don't think this is bad enough to make the product lose a star or even half of one because you can just put it in a safer case if you are too afraid to break them.

Incluyen las primeras temporadas completas, con especiales de navidad y todo. Además el menú de inicio es muy lindo para seleccionar cada episodio. Me pareció una gran compra por el precio, es mucho más bárato que conseguirlos de manera individual.

Capa veio levemente danificada, mas veio tudo funcionando. Como é restrito a região 1, precisei alterar a região do dvd player.

As a Doctor who fan I started watching the day I got the dvds. It strange how much I forgot. Still love watching Doctor Donna ❤️
