XPPen Deco 01 V3 10x6 Drawing Tablet, 16K Battery-Free Stylus, 8 Keys

I wanted to try art again after 30 years and I chose this as my first tablet. It was a good price for the size compared to Waccom tablets and had nearly the same feature set as their entry level products. I've been using it for many months and it's been great. The responsiveness and control is excellent. It's lightweight and easy to store or travel with. My only complaints would be that the protective cover doesn't stay on very well (but most people probably don't use that anyway), and that the buttons on the pen are super easy to hit by accident when drawing. For anyone who worries about it being disorienting drawing on the tablet while looking up at the screen (as opposed to a video tablet) like I was, remember, you've probably already been doing that for decades with your computer mouse, so your brain is already trained for it. I found it wasn't an issue at all.

I normally use physical art mediums and never touched a digital tablet before but it's intuitive to use, you can reprogram legit all the buttons, and the pen itself. You can change the sensitivity/pressure so if you're heavy-handed like me but still want light strokes, its easily adjustable with their fixed settings and you can drag around the curve to better suit you. Driver was easy as all hell to install, no issues with compatibility. I have a Windows PC for gaming and other media, IDK about mac, unfortunately. If you touch the pen to the tablet at first, it feels icky, but there's an adhesive protective sheet that comes with the tablet in the box i didn't see at first, as soon as that when on it felt great. Just like a g2 pen on paper. You install the UI driver and you get a Pen and Tablet settings application, in there you can adjust all your settings, match your pressure/output to your hand strength, change every button on the device and pen to fit your needs, it'll also show you what the buttons current programming is in case you wanna stick with the default. I was worried at first I wouldn't like having to look up at my monitor and trust my hand, but if you're a beginner, hovering over the tablet will allow you to move the cursor and you can see where your strokes and clicks are. You can also change the pen from MouseMode to Windows Ink, which, idk about the Mouse mode, it was a little odd to navigate because it would snap to the edges of programs instead of where I wanted to click like, it would snap to menus, toolbars, and scroll wheels instead of the drawing canvas, so I switched back to the default Windows Ink and everything was great, I could use the tablet to navigate my entire monitor regardless of size. (Theres a size/resolution detector in the app the driver gives you which you can customize as well, but it should read what size monitor you have already) Also great on my laptop as well, super thin and lightweight, but feels sturdy and well made. For 60$ the pressure sensitivity is off the charts good. Like, once I adjust the settings to my heavy handed self, it felt as though I had a pencil or pen on a sketchbook paper, complete control. And it read even the faintest lines for sketching

5/2/2019 review update: was ready to ship the package back, but decided to give the product another try and use a different illustration software. the drawing pad was not responsive to Corel Painter 11, but when I resolved to use the mouse to finish my project, I realized the software itself was also a bit glitchy. that got me thinking if the non-responsiveness was also caused by the software. I downloaded Auto Desk (which is free!) and gave the drawing pad another try, and it worked perfectly. changing my review from 1 star to a 4 star, gonna keep the product now since it works. for other future (or current) buyers - your issue might be solvable with the same solution, software incompatibility. 4/11/2019 review: item received plenty of high reviews with very reasonable price, as a beginner I wanted to start with something less of a financial burden. this seemed like a good product to try. based on the price, I was skeptical to what issues I would run into, since there's the golden saying "you get what you pay for". hopefully only advanced ones which wouldn't matter in my situation, as long as this drawing pad functioned the basics. the product is beautifully packaged, with many cool freebies. all that would earn a solid five if not higher review, if the product actually did what it was created to do. Pros: thin, beautifully designed drawing pad; pen comes with extra tips inside the pen holder base; also gives you a drawing glove, not sure what that does; easy to set up. Con (and you only need one): pen does not work when drawing on the draw pad. it is non-responsive. I'm not saying yours won't work if you buy this product, I'm just telling you there's a good chance you'll end up writing another one star review like I did. If you like the possible opportunity to do so, by all means.

I'm writing this review because I wish there was one like it when I was agonizing over what my first drawing tablet would be. I've mostly used an XP-Pen deco 01 v1 for many years and it was fine, but when it broke (more on that below), I really wanted to try a Huion since they have such good reviews. Huion vs Xp-Pen This is a comparison between the Xp-Pen Deco 01 (v2) and the Huion Inspiroy H1060P. They both have nearly identical price points and specs. I got both on discounts for around $50 on average. I am not a professional artist, but I do draw a lot (several hundred hours on my tablet) and have been paid for my work, but I'm not as skilled as professionals. I mostly do character sketches and inking comic-style. For my style and what I need, both tablets are great. They are very precise and allow me to execute and get the end result that I want. Pen pressure ability is the same between the two, I can make clean, tapered strokes with each just fine. The Huion is set to a "harder" pressure than the Xp-Pen, and while both tablet drivers allow changing pressure curves, the Huion minimal is "harder" than the XP-Pen. All-in-all I'd say aside from the pressure, they perform identical and I've heard they they both use the same underlying hardware (unconfirmed by me), this makes sense if true. Personally I like to use a lighter touch when drawing so I prefer the XP-Pen, which also has a much lower 'activation pressure' that the tablet recognizes before drawing pixels. With the XP-Pen, if you are touching the tablet, it's making a stroke. The Huion on the other hand requires a little pressure before it starts making a stroke. So you can lightly stroke the tablet and nothing will happen until you put enough pressure down for it to activate. Drivers: Unfortunately the Huion driver does not offer the option of changing the activation pressure of the tablet, just adjustment of the pressure curve (how the tablet interprets pressure after activation pressure has been reached). I don't believe it can be fixed or adjusted via drawing software either, though I think some drawing software (Photoshop, Krita, Corel, etc) might allow you to adjust your tablet to have a higher activation pressure if you want it (just not lower). Aside from that, the Huion drivers work better with my drawing software (Krita) - by this I mean they are bug free and even work properly if I disconnect and reconnect the tablet while Krita is open. The XP-Pen drivers are a little more buggy - they often don't reconnect properly when I disconnect/reconnect the tablet - the cursor position is fine, but the pressure will not be recognized by my computer until I exit Krita or sometimes I have to reboot the machine. There are other odd bugs like the cursor being trapped in a section of my monitor screen. This happens infrequently, but it does happen and its quite annoying. Pens: Both pens are nice and the new pen that comes with the v2 Deco is much better than the v1 one. The Huion pen is slightly better than both, a little heavier and it just feels a bit nicer/grippier in the hand Physical tablet: The XP-Pen is smaller and lighter than the Huion, but with the same drawing surface size. This is nice for travel and also allows you to place your computer about an inch closer when drawing. The Huion has 12 buttons to XP-Pen's 8. The buttons feel fine on both, I never had a button fail on my v1 Deco01. I did have a problem with the USB port however. My Deco01 v1 broke because when plugged into the included L-Shaped cable connector, it's easy to put up/down pressure on it which can cause damage. Looking at it now, it's possible that pressure is being placed on the USB port unless maybe your table is perfectly flat, but even then it might have slight pressure. I'm going to just use a regular USB-C connector for my new one. I should note that the tablet did not break during normal use, I had the cable plugged in while I had it stuffed in my backpack and it must have been knocked or subjected to sideways pressure which caused damage to the port. Make sure to disconnect it before putting it anywhere! Summary points: Huion + Better drivers (though it doesn't allow you to set a minimum pressure). More stable, interacts with Krita better + Better pen + More buttons - Larger, slightly more heavy XPPen + Smaller, but same active drawing space, better if table space is a premium, better for travel + Like that it has much lower activation threshold + Includes drawing glove, nice touch - USB port prone to breaking with included cable (unplug it when not in use!) For the price, this is a fantastic entry-level tablet. I've tried it on both Mac and Linux and I can confirm that the Linux support is excellent, with drivers available for every major distro family. Bravo to XPPen for treating Linux like the first-class citizen it is! I've tried it on both Fedora and Arch and it works great. It even has a handy GUI configuration tool that works quite well for various settings, including the shortcut buttons. I've tested in a variety of software including Blender, Krita, Affinity, and Nomad and it works well in all of them. It's very slim and sturdy and I'd be very comfortable tossing this in a backpack with a laptop. If I have one complaint, it's that the tip has a lot of "wiggle" and feels quite squishy. It's been years since I last used a tablet, but I prefer a more stiff, reliable tip, like a pen or pencil. Given how much cheaper this is versus a Wacom, I can live with that! If you need a starter tablet for drawing, drafting, or sculpting this is a good choice.

I've had this tablet for 2 years now and at this point, I highly recommend it for beginners. I was going through old orders to find something and I've enjoyed this tablet so much and I stopped to write a review 2 years later lol. I started out drawing with my finger on my phone in ibisPaint (lol) and decided I wanted an actual tablet. Did a ton of research and comparing between tablets around this price point, and honestly I can't remember now why I chose this model, but I don't regret it at all. If you're just getting into tablets and not sure what you're looking for, but don't wanna drop $100+ on a Wacom/Screened tablet, this will definitely do the job. I remember it being a little bit of a pain to get the drivers and software set up, but there are instructions and support for that. Otherwise, I keep the plug for it around my desk area and am able to just plug it in and start using it whenever I please. I've done everything from Photoshop & Illustrator drawings to 3D modeling in Blender and haven't had any problems as far as I can remember. The only thing I've run into is my mouse glitching out because I left the pen too close to the tablet and my computer is confused on which I'm trying to use lol just move the pen and make sure the tablet isn't showing the indicative blue light :) PROS: -sensitivity is good for registering line thickness -comes with like, 9 extra nibs for the pen so if you lose or ruin one there are plenty of backups -protective film does an awesome job protecting the actual tablet, hasn't noticeably effected my drawing output, has saved the tablet from rogue flying cigarette embers -(8) hotkey buttons are customizable -decently large drawing area -blue light on tablet to indicate if the pen is being registered by it CONS: -can't think of any other than the drivers being a pain at first, but I've noticed that any other small issues I've run into are due to user error. Anyways, read the other reviews, some people were even nice enough to compare it with other brands like Huion, which is helpful if you're shopping this price point. Would I buy this again? Absolutely, it would make a great gift for someone getting into digital art, and it honestly fits all of my needs so I would even buy it again for myself if something ever happened to it. 2 years later and it works like new.

This was my first time buying a graphics tablet as someone who recently got into graphic design. I've been into photography for a while and am very familiar with photoshop, so I was looking for something that would pair nicely with the software and be easy to use for beginners. Without being educated on anything graphic design related, I did extensive research into what to look for in a graphics tablet. I wanted to buy something rather cheap, but of good quality (which can be hard to come by these days). I considered getting a Wacom since that's what a lot of websites suggested, but the sizes and reliability didn't really do it for me. Then I came upon this beauty and it checked all my boxes. I've had the tablet for at least a month now and have had no issues whatsoever. No lag between the pen and the computer, no problems with the shortcut keys. That being said, I can't speak about their customer service quality since I've never had to use it. I like the large drawing space provided which gives plenty of room to move about and position my hand. That does however make it less portable, but I personally wasn't looking for something travel-sized. It's very easy to set up and the software for the tablet, shortcut keys, and pen buttons is pretty easy to use and allows for a lot of customizability. I don't really use the shortcut keys that often (mostly because the work I do makes it easier to keep a hand on the keyboard of my laptop) but the placement of them on the tablet is fine. The ones on the pen aren't particularly convenient, but I don't really use them anyways. The accessories provided are great as well. The pen stand holds the pen upright perfectly and holds the extra nibs in the base. My nib, after a month of use, is beginning to wear down, but I haven't change it yet. There are about ten extra nibs provided and it's extremely easy to switch them out. I wasn't anticipating using the graphics glove, but I'm really glad they included one because it makes sliding my hand around on the tablet way easier than when I'm not wearing it. I didn't put the protective plastic on the tablet (mostly so that I wouldn't get air bubbles and as to not take away from its sleek appearance), but any scratches from the pen nib are basically undetectable and don't seem to be damaging the tablet at all. Also included are two... USB connecter ports? That's not the technical term for them. The tablet, as far as I know, does have Bluetooth but I don't trust it so I've connected it to my laptop via the USB cord. The connectors allow for the tablet to be plugged in via Thunderbolt or Android and both work just fine. (I don't own an Android phone so I can't speak about its compatibility with that) All around a great tablet and for a decent price. It was exactly what I was hoping for. The pen acts as a replacement for a mouse and is 100% compatible with photoshop. Have had no issues at all, great for beginners, love it so much!

Writing this from a Linux users perspective and someone new to drawing tablets. The device was immediately detected by Linux and was pretty much full functional instantly with no issues. I had to download the software to bind the buttons, which had various Linux versions available. It seemed to have installers for all flavors of Linux in different package types, so finding a way to install shouldn't an issue. The software is a bit basic and I wanted a little more control over the pressure required to max the sensors but I was able to get it running pretty decently. The hotkeys in the side work by creating macros which execute inputs allowing you to do things like increase brush sizes or undo mistakes, an example would be Ctrl+Z to undo would be bound to one button. It came with variously nibs and a protective sheet to protect it from getting scratched up sadly it's magnetic or rubber so it tends to slide around a bit. It has double sided tape to allow help but since removing the protective film would void the warranty I'm hesitant to remove it just yet. The device is quite comfortable to use and very responsive I felt very at home using it, despite being terrible at drawing and with pens and pencils and never having used a drawing tablet before. My pen strokes were maybe even better than normal despite not having software to stabilize them. I mostly use Krita since I like it the best and I've had no issue with it at all everything just sort of works. I can sit with it in my lap and get really into what I'm drawing. I can't wait to see what I can do with it once I get better but as a beginner I'm absolutely thrilled with it. I'll update this review should anything negative occur such as a short lived life or driver issues.

Actually, its better than i expected. I used to use wacom pen&tablets but after using XPPen i feel like this product is underrated. SURFACE & PEN both are with soft/smooth touch. Size of tablet is bigger than i expected. They providing Quality product in this price, which is awesome.

O pacote veio muito bem embalado, com tudo descrito e organizado dentro da caixa. Por ser a minha primeira vez utilizando um dos produtos da XP-Pen, a instalação e configuração do dispositivo demorou um pouco, mas já me acostumei. Decidi usar a capa que o produto vem para o tablet pq achei a superfície mt fácil de riscar e só fazendo alguns testes eu ouvia ruídos que poderiam riscá-lo com facilidade. Porém, eu percebi que não só as configurações são um pouco limitadas comparadas à minha experiência com os drivers da wacom, mas também as pontas da caneta desgastam com facilidade, o que me chocou um pouco por testá-lo raramente em questões de dias e já ver a ponta da caneta beeem desgastada pro meu gosto. Sobre as pressões, tenho preferência a níveis de pressões mais altos, então achei q fosse uma boa escolha, porém eu percebi que o tablet falha um pouco (não sei se é por conta da capa que dificulta um tico), no sentido de tentar fazer uma pressão mínima, muito baixa e o tablet não conseguir detectar. Então quando há o costume de usar brushes de tamanho excessivo pra não só pintar áreas grandes, mas também conseguir pintar áreas mínimas por conta da pressão, aqui você vai encontrar dificuldade fazendo isso para pintar detalhes. Parece reclamação vazia, pois obviamente com um brush de tamanho muito grande não vai conseguir pintar áreas muito pequenas, mas com outros tablets eu conseguia esse feitio através das pressões. Também é difícil fazer pontos, por incrível que pareça kk. Isso tudo aconteceu mesmo eu tendo o costume de usar pressões mais baixas para evitar pressionar minha mão fortemente na superfície. Tenho ele faz mais de três semanas e sim, ele é muito bom, confortável, preferi não usar a luva, mas ainda assim foi uma boa escolha de compra. Até agora eu gastei duas pontas, pretendo ver até onde eu consigo gastar com uma (tá explicado porque vem tanta ponta, eles sabem que gastam bastante). Minhas únicas reclamações são quanto à pressão e as pontas, acho que deveria ser um pouco mais completo os drivers, tendo distância entre caneta e tablet e uma configuração mais completa sobre monitor, pois me irrita eu configurar um botão pra mudar entre dois monitores e eu precisar apertar mais de uma vez pois ele detecta a junção dos dois. Mas nada que eu não acostume, claro, são os drivers, não o produto em si. Por fim, os botões de atalho são algo que eu uso esporadicamente, não tenho mta frequência de uso, mas as vezes aperto aqui e ali pra tentar manter o uso um pouco mais frequente.

أنا اشتريته لغرض التدريس اونلاين وبصراحه كجودة وخامة ممتازة وفيها اسكرينة وحامل للقلم لكن المشكلة في حساسية القلم عند الكتابة دورت على تعديلات عليه مش لاقي لحد دلوقتي وال software الخاص بالتابلت مش موفر ده مع أنه من النقاط المهمة جمب الزراير لكن غير كده هو رائع وانصح بيه لو حساسية الكتابة غير مهمة

This is definitely a life saver for my posture as an artist (by using a secondary monitor) and works amazingly well in terms of reactivity and tracking and was absolutely worth the money. This is my first graphics tablet and I do not regret buying this product at all— it only took me a little while for my hand-eye coordination to use this tablet to its fullest. Not to mention, I love buttons and custom keybinds, omg??? The pen holder is okay, but the stylus doesn’t seamlessly slide inside and wobbles a bit, which isn’t too much of an issue since I don’t plan on taking my big laptop or this graphics tablet outside regularly on the long run. Either way, 10/10, would buy from XPPen again!!

It has been 2 months since I have bought and used this tablet, Honestly, there is little to nothing that I am dissatisfied about. To start off with, I bought this when it was 6999 RS. A pretty good deal for a tablet, Pros: Easy to setup, can be done under 5 mins. All I had to do was connect the wire to my PC, download the driver from the site and done. It is EXTREMELY easy to get used to this, this is literally the graphic tablet you need to buy if you have never used one before and are unsure to invest some money into one. HIGHLY recommended, buy this one. Size, Not too big that it's an inconveniece but not small that you feel like having a bigger size. It is fairly easy to take it out with you while traveling so you can draw outside too. Cons : Needs to be connected to a laptop/Pc/mobile but that's the way it's built so I can't really complain about that haha. Overall, I'd give this an 8/10. Go for it!
