Women'sVintage Polka Audrey Dress 1950s Halter Retro Cocktail Dress

I don't typically write reviews, sometimes but rarely. So I'll make this as informative as possible. The dress is well made in my experience. It fits a little large on the top and I'm a busty gal. Nothing a little tuck won't take care of tho so no biggy. We're all built different so nothing will ever fit perfectly unless its tailored for our bodies. The material is softly comfortable against the skin,( big plus) the cut is adorably retro, and the print is lovely, colorful and well placed. If you're looking for a really nice dress this one checks all my boxes. Fit, comfort, style and feeling beautiful in it. What else could a girl ask for. 🙂 I wore it with a cute little pair of suede kitten heel pumps, a pair of simple studded earrings (hair updo) and no necklace so it didn't interfere with the dresses cut. Keep it simple, the dress does all the talking. 😉 So to be fare I was on the fence because the price is so low, and well its Amazon clothing from who knows where. But for 30ish bucks it was a solid purchase. Follow the instructions for wash/ cleaning care and it should last a good length of time! I'm happy I took the plunge of curiosity and bought this. If you don't like it you can always return it. But You're gonna love it! Enjoy 😉

Hi all. I have had this dress for 3 years now and it has been my FAVORITE and my go-to dress that I’ve worn (and washed) so many times that it’s quite possibly TOO many times as it is a frequent in my photo collection lol but seriously, the fit is so stinking cute, the quality is AMAZING as it has held up through excessive use the past 3 years with no problems - no rips/stitch issues, no pilling, only the SLIGHTEST fading of the black (sunflower dress) which is nothing. No dry cleaning, I’ve washed it and hot cold, all of the washing, only thing I’ve had to do is iron the belt (steamer works just fine) as it has gotten twisted up in the wash a few times. The back has ties like a corset that you can use to tighten or loosen, and creates a super cute look on the back as well. In addition, I get compliments on the dress every time I wear it. I am ordering another!

I got married in this dress. It was everything I hoped it would be. Thick well made material. Vibrant colors and a perfect fit. The shape is very flattering to and provides an hourglass shape. The length was just right and it was actually super comfortable too.

SIZE: I am generally in between sizes (in this case Medium and Large) but to err on the side of caution in accordance with other reviews, I ordered a Large. (For reference, my measurements are roughly 34-36" bust (I wear 34C or 36B bras depending on brand/fit), 28-31" waist depending on the day, 40-41" hips or so, and I'm 6'1" tall). I could probably have done just fine in a Medium; I can cinch the laceup in the back all the way tight in the large and I'm still by no means squished. The skirt falls just to my knee. Reasonably expected/flattering fit. Not too tight or too gappy/low cut in the chest. I couldn't get the removable waist tie to lay nicely in a bow without the fabric scrunching up, so I opted to have it as just a flat belt in the front and tie it in the back when I tried it on. I do think the tie gives it slightly more shape at the waist and makes for a nicer look. I bought a petticoat to wear underneath this based on other complaints that the skirt did not hang nicely otherwise, but being that I am just wearing it out to dinner and such, not as any kind of costume or theme thing, I found it kind of poofy and awkward looking with the petticoat; I like the look and the flattering lay of the dress without anything underneath. COLOR: I ordered the solid red. I was a little worried it would be a garish orange color, but I feel like it is true to advertised color. Brilliant bright red. No real complaints or concerns there; I would say overall I got what I ordered. QUALITY: Based on the product price, description, reviews, etc. The quality was about what I expected. The fabric is fairly stiff and not elastic but this is what I wanted and expected; I do not consider this a flaw. There were a few loose threads sticking out and such, which bothers a lot of people, but the structural integrity of the dress seems in tact and any loose threads or other minor defects seem removable or at least not distracting to the overall appearance. The dress did come very wrinkled (no shock there) but I would be CAREFUL ironing. The product description say you can iron it on low settings, but I attempted this and not only can I not get a lot of the wrinkles out, but I appear to have done some minor damage to the fabric. I think it is still wearable in public, but if you look too closely or in really good lighting, there are some spots where the fabric is a little bit shiny/discolored/heat damaged, even though I followed instructions, which is really unfortunate. The fabric is not sheer or abrasive/uncofortable on the skin, so no complaints there. Overall, so far, the dress is not flawless for sure, but I can't say I'm disappointed, either. I have not worn for more than a few minutes at this point, though, so I may add pictures or further details once I wear it to my Valentine's day date tonight :-)

LOVE this dress. It is stretchy and the material does not look cheap. I received so many compliments. I wore it for a 1950’s themed birthday party. (I replaced the halter polka dot strap with a red one)

WOW! I had been looking at this dress for over a month and couldn't decide which pattern to get, the polka dot or the floral. In the end, I bought both, and I have absolutely no regrets! Not only are the patterns beautiful, but the dress is also well-made and of great quality. It is true to size, very flattering, and comfortable,not too tight, so you can move around easily while wearing it. For reference, I am 5'9", 186 pounds, and I ordered a Medium. The fit was exactly what I was hoping for. The dress accentuates your shape without feeling restrictive, making it both elegant and comfortable to wear. Overall, this purchase was definitely worth it. If you're trying to decide between patterns, I can honestly say you can't go wrong with either one. I loved it so much that I ended up buying both patterns!

Solid 3 stars. Cute dress. Cheap thin fabric. Lightweight though because of that. For $15-20 I'd have no problem. For a $30-38 dress on "sale", I'm not super happy. It's more casual. I think it's fine for simple things, or if you need a quick easy dress for something. I'm debating if it is worth the hassle of return or not.

This dress is so nice! I hesitated at the price, but it was too cute to pass up. The material is sturdy and comfortable, not that nylon stuff, and the fit is just right. The corset-style back makes sure it's just right and is adorable.
