Are these natural or synthetic?

Based on the ingredients it appears to be synthetic. Some supplements and vitamins are made from whole foods so this is not a strange question. However in those cases the foods are listed in the ingredients. Well there is beetroot powder, plant cellulose, and vegetable steric acid, those are most likely fillers and not where the melatonin comes from.

In my experience, fast dissolve tablets are very easily broken into 2 halves. You can even break that yet again to get 4 pieces approx 3 mg per piece.

do you swallow these, or let them dissolve on the tongue?

They are dissolvable tablets. You CAN swallow them but it probably won’t feel very good and won’t be as effective. When I let it dissolve, I’m asleep in minutes. ❤️😴
