Can this honey jar be placed in hot water to warm or de-sugar honey that had begun to crystallized?

I would hesitate to try this since the glass is so thin. It’s a poor quality product.

Does the fit tightly on the base? If it toppled over would the lid stay on?

No, it’s not a tight fit. If it toppled over the lid would not stay on. It does not have a tight rubber seal to keep it in place.

The dipper doesn’t reach the bottom as seen in the pic. How do you take out honey when it’s getting over in the jar? Another spoon?!

No problem. The lid comes off when you want to apply the honey, and you can move the dipper as needed around the bottom of the jar.

Unfortunately, this is cheaply made in China. It is a thin glass jar and the product did not meet my expectations based on the description. I do not recommend this product.
