These are great! I am taking up a new hobby, rock painting. These came in yesterday and they are all unique in shape and smooth. I am excited by the different shapes because it can inspire me to do different things. Who would have thought of buying rocks online, but this is a great starter for me! I had to rinse off the dust and they are ready to go.

I haven't tried yet as I'm still unpacking craft supplies after moving. The rocks look fine. Smooth and nice shapes. Easier than going to a quarry and picking them out. I've seen there are molds out there to make faux rocks but not ready to venture that. I wonder if Rock Canvas has already or might expand to molds and paints and such? So far I'm happy. Maybe I will update later?

I ordered these several times and use them for rock painting. On average, I get anywhere from 15-17 rocks. Many of them are nice for painting and have a smooth flat surface. There are always a few odd shaped rocks or some with chips, cracks or deep scratches on or in them. Overall the quality has been pretty good, and I’m able to turn out some nice painted rocks. They also are nice when I seal the rocks with Mod Podge (I’ve used other rocks and the finish isn’t as nice and glossy as these rocks). The one issue I have is the price. They are pricey and you can (if you really hunt) find some nice bagged rocks at Home Depot or Lowe’s or your local landscape supplier. This being said, they aren’t so easy to find in the fall and winter so it’s nice to have this option when needed.

I am not painting these, but using them as "feet" for my cigar box planters. (I know that's a bad pic, but it works) The rocks are flat enough and uniform enough to do theire job. But enough variety to be suitable for my different size boxes. They were delivered quickly and came well packaged. I would fir sure purcahse these again!

Loved the size of the rocks, they are smooth and very easy to work with, I will however order maybe a little bigger next time, I am very happy with my purchase however throw just a few more in there to make me happier,,,lol, Thanks again. We just got our order. We were excited to get them and do the project the children wanted to do. However, we are disappointed as this company states about their product, “Rock Canvas have been picked specifically for their superior quality ...” These aren’t are smooth as the ones they show. You can see we recieved a few chipped and one major rock that is cool looking- but it’s been chipped all over. Looks like an egg. I’ll be looking somewhere else for the rocks next time.

You do have to wash rocks once out of the bag.. warm water will work fine. Not from dirt, just stone dust. They are rocks! I’m going to use them for painting and to try Mandala painting. Sizes are perfect.. 1-3”. They are very smooth, no blemishes.. very workable with what I have in mind.

I dot paint on rocks. I love the smoothness of the rocks. They're great for dotting. I also love the variety of shapes and sizes. It's a challenge to come up with a pattern that will fit on the rocks' surfaces. When I get through this bag, I plan on purchasing another.
