- The "Traina Home Grown All American Sun Dried Fruit Blend" product arrived intelligently packed: No extra packaging for the 5 lbs of dried, diced fruit mix other than the external cardboard shipping box and the sanitary plastic bag holding the fruit medley. - 5 lbs of the dried fruit amounts to 11 pints (2 cups per pint) of dried fruit medley. - After careful examination of 1/4 cup of the fruit medley, I determined that the composition was as advertised, for at least my shipment: The order of ingredients listed appeared accurate for the medley composition (i.e., not overloaded on raisins--which would still be just fine if tipped towards raisins--betting most of us could use more them). - I eat the medley straight from the 11 pint jars in which I store the 5 lbs. of mix. I taste the individual flavors on the palette just fine. I love that I don't have to go to different jars of separate dried fruit products. The mix/medley is well-constructed. - I rarely purchase dried fruits that have added sugar. Only because I have a trusted friend that both assured me and provided a small sample of the medley did I proceed to purchase. The sugar just barely registers on the palette. That said, I would be quite certain that I would purchase the medley, ongoing, without sugar added. Without sugar would be my preference. Maybe offer both versions? But the current sugar level is minimal. - I keep a pint jar of the Traina dried fruit medley on my kitchen counter, my office cube and my backpack. I'm training myself to use the medley as my go-to snack; this hasn't been hard.

Very fresh and not dried out, colorful, tasty. I like to add a couple spoonfuls to an instant oatmeal packet at work, or add them to various baked goods like oatmeal cookies, bran muffins, etc. I was concerned about people reporting that they got less than 5 lbs and will have to weigh my next order to be sure. I used to buy Del Monte or Dole Dried Fruit Bits at the grocery store but I haven't seen them in a long time. Keeping some at the office and some at home (in an airtight container) is helping me to get my 5 to 9 a Day! (fruit and veg). I subscribe to a 5 lb box on Subscribe and Save, 1 every 6 months.

I enjoy steel cut oats with dried fruit. Anything that gives me a variety of fruits in a handful is perfect. This is an excellent mix, good combination of fruits and flavors, and lasts a long time. Great stuff.

A good assortment of dried fruits. But not dried as in prunes or raisins. Dried as in freeze-dried. Some of the pieces are too hard for snacking. However, a friend who bakes tells me she used it in everything from oatmeal to muffins. So, it wasn’t exactly what I was looking for, but it’s really good if it fits with how you prepare food.

I went looking for a healthier choice for an after dinner desert, to replace the mostly sugar (and bad fat) chocolate chips cookies (3x) each night. I found this fruit mix, and decided to try it. My first night I was impressed by the flavor, despite the sticky food pieces I needed to pick out of my teeth afterwards. And they satisfied my sweet craving. But then, divine inspiration! Why not reconstitute my portion each night, making the pieces softer, sweeter, tastier. So I took a 1/4 cup (suggested portion) and placed it in a small bowl. I barely covered the portion with plain, cold water, and let them soak in the fridge while I ate my dinner. When I got ready for desert, the fruit pieces had soaked up most of the water and expanded in size. Wow! What an improvement! I first drank the juice (flavored water) in the bowl. It was like the sip of a mixed fruit drink! And then I used a spoon to eat a mouthful of the swollen (previously dried) fruit pieces. They were all softer, tastier, and did not leave dried, sticky pieces for me to pick out of my teeth. :) I'm an old man, and need to take care of my teeth nowadays (more than ever). Sticky, albeit "natural" sugar food pieces I don't need stuck in my teeth overnight. This product was *just* what I was wanting (and didn't even know it). I highly recommend this for anyone wanting to trim their diet, better protect their teeth and replace bad fat sugar deserts with healthier, way better fruit deserts. Enjoy!

The fruit was ok. It has a good mixture of the various fruits and is not overly dried out. I liked the quantity that I received.

Versatile chipped fruits are perfect to add to hot cereals, as a snack mix, or baking element. Very tasty and so convenient to have on hand. Not drowned in sugar, but full of natural sweetness. Retains color and taste of the fruits.

I REALLY REALLY REALLY LOVE THIS MIX!!! I've had a variety of dried fruit mixes in my lifetime and this might be my favorite! I've been around a while so it's hard to be sure but right now, YES it's my favorite :D I like the variety and the balance of variety. Sometimes you get a mix that clearly has mostly the "filler" fruit. There's an even mix of each in this. It's not doused in whatever stuff they douse many fruit mixes in. It's JUST dried fruit. Well ok I just had to go look at the ingredients and I see sugar, sunflower oil, and Sulfur dioxide. You can't tell so it's "just enough" which I imagine keeps em from rotting. I actually had to go look to see if there was anything else added beyond JUST fruit which says somethin as is ;) They're not over dry/over moist, just the right amount of dryness. Throw em in a bit of water in say some oatmeal and they soak it up fast and soften pretty quick. The "El Dente" of dried fruit <3 I keep the fruit in a pourable "air tight" (so far no food container seems truly air tight, more like "draft proof") cereal container. I mostly use it in my oatmeal which is oats, plant protein (I eat meat but I prefer a plant based protein powder), these amazing fruits, and some cinnamon/sugar. Add water and good to go! (No heating at all). I occasionally feel like eating a handful of dried fruits as a snack too. Big shocker :D I just pour some out of the container, close, eat, and good to go! The amount the 5lbs box offers will fill a typical cereal container full and you'll have a few handfuls left over. That left over bit only lasted a few days so no need for an extra container in my case so the 5lbs is a perfect size and a very respectable price <3 I'm very thankful for this mix and will probably settle with this after the various other mixes I've gotten throughout my life and even on Amazon. I'm very satisfied and I've found what I like so I'm gonna stick with this :) <3
