This was a much appreciated present. The kit is very well packaged with everything you need - just add water! 4 of the 5 lotus seeds germinated and are growing well. The glass bowl will probably only be temporary as it's not large, but it looks great and is good quality. Comprehensive instructions are included (though there's a translation typo from the German instructions that say to plant when shoots are 3-4 centimetres to the English instructions which say 3-4 inches (Internet research suggests that cm are the correct units). The product is also from a smaller, family business, so worth supporting.

“I ordered these beautiful lotus seeds with the promise that they would bloom into stunning lotus flowers within 5 to 10 days. I planted them on January 1st and have been diligently following the instructions, including changing the water twice a day. However, today is January 13th, and there has been no progress—no growth, no blooms. I am very disappointed with the results and wish to request a refund.”

The seeds germinated after a week, so that was good. But maybe it should be made clear that it will be 2 years before any actual flowers will be seen! In those 2 years you have to change the water several times a week etc…. Maybe I can review in 2 yesrs time.

Fertiliser was missing. one of the seeds went mouldy within 2 days of being in the water, one seed opened up but hasn't made any progress, one just didnt sprout at all despite my attempt at salvaging it, so I've only got a couple good seeds out of the six that arrived that have successfully germinated. Instructions were clear, the rest was okay but I wouldnt buy this set again.

I have followed the instructions that came with Lotus Seeds , and all the seeds are sprouting beautifully.. The six seeds are a good size and they are healthy. They would make a wonderful gift for anybody and it is quite exciting , watching them grow day by day Thank you

All seeds germinated. They're now 5" tall. High quality. Even the bowl is made of glass which is nice. It comes with free seeds (looks like sunflower) as well. Very easy to follow instructions - all illustrated. Would like to know more details about the plant though like latin name, maximum height and spread.

Grew really well for a while. Had a real problem with greenfly. Rather than planting in the glass bowl when they germinate it would be better to plant into their permanent spot in pond soil. Don’t worry if they wither and turn black, just trim off the dead bits and new growth comes back really quickly. It was when they got too big for the bowl and I had to replant them that they died for good.

Kitchen did not include seeds as stated so not any us also bought one for a Christmas present so am humiliated as it was useless

Love watching the seeds grow but I thought the glass bowl would be a little bigger, it’s very small, not much bigger than the plastic seed bowl used for the germinating period. Will have to see how fast they grow

Wir haben es zweimal gekauft und jeweils als Geschenk weitergegeben. Beide Samen sind zwar aufgebrochen, aber der Sämling geht nach dem er heraus guckt wieder ein. Funktioniert also nicht für den einfachen Gebrauch. Teuer, kein Erfolg, braucht man nicht.

Die Aufzucht aus den Samen war ok, die Hälfte der Samen hat ausgetrieben. Nach dem Einsetzen in das beigefügte Substrat (natürlich streng nach Anleitung) sind alle Setzlinge schnell verfault. Fazit: war leider nur für den Verkäufer lohnenswert

Wenn man sich an die Beschreibung hält, gehen die Samen tatsächlich schnell auf . Ich habe vor 3 Monaten die Samen gekauft und habe sie jetzt in einem Miniteich . Ständig wachsen Blätter nach. Ich hoffe, dass die Lotospflanzen im nächsten Jahr blühen werden, wie angegeben. Ein Bonbon dazu: es waren als Beilage noch zusätzliche Wickensamen. Die sind auch gewachsen und ich warte jetzt auf die Blüten. Klare Kaufempfehlung!

I was very excited about this! I even bought 3 for family members. Only one of my seeds sprouted! And once I moved it to the dirty the leaves started to wither and then it just died.
