what type of batteries do the phones use

Do not buy this product as it is fitted with a European plug hence the reason it was returned. Could not believe that it is being sold in the UK with a European plug but no mention made about this. I had to buy a new one from PC World just to ensure I had the correct phone in the end which turned out to be cheaper. Good luck.

Can you tell me does the Gigaset A220model have a keypad with keys that make an noise when pressed or is the keypad have silent keys

Yes.. we get a wee noise .. when keypad is used. .

Why does it not have UK plugs in the box and why are the instructions not in English? I have now returned two of these phones to Amazon

I have recently purchased this item, there were UK plugs and English instructions in the box. I have no idea why yours was different.
