Hello Amazon community. I am posting this to give an honest review and to show you the clear pros and cons of purchasing a sound bowl. I will try to leave information that I wish that I knew when purchasing. One of the most important things of purchasing a sound bowl is how to open it. I had opened the top and tried to pull out the mallet and pull out the Styrofoam out. I gifted one to my mother-in-law and she cut both sides of the box and pushed it through and I thought that was clever. If you could have a second person help you, you should. No matter how you pull it out the sound bowl usually will come out, upside down without the Styrofoam connected, so be prepared to cradle it and set it down. After you carefully get your sound bowl out do not miss the rubber piece and throw it out! There is a rubber ring used to rest your sound bowl on. This keeps your sound bowl, sturdy, and in place. If you hit the sound bowl without the rubber ring, it will have no foundation and can easily fall over and break. You can’t have a great success at playing the sound bowl if you don’t use the rubber ring. Next it’s very important to know the white , rubber, ball on the bottom of the mallet is the only way to tap the sound bowl. *Do not tap the sound bowl with the wood or you will break the crystal bowl. Sound bowls are usually made out of crystals when they are big like this. I have another brand that I bought is selenite and is more fragile and does not resonate sound the best. The thinner it is the more you will hear the humming of the sound moving than the sound. Now we got the basics covered, let’s talk about the functionality of the sound bowl. the quality and sound is great It does give a calming effect. You could use it for meditation for a moment through the day just to hear a chime of the bowl to take a moment for peace. They make great gifts and it creates a small time of meditation during your day Just to attempt to tap it with the mallet. Then overtime, you might really enjoy to start playing it. You don’t have to play it to get the use out of enjoying it. You might frighten people with the sound if you always keep it at as highest and then people get the wrong intention with sound bowls. The intention is to create a calming peaceful environment. You can also enjoy it however you want, but we’re learning to slow down to take that minute to create a piece within yourself of sound. After doing the sound, you take your time to listen to it all the way up until you don’t hear it any longer. This is the meditation practice. It’s fun to play for all ages. Just make sure that they are gentle enough with a fragile. I did see how there was an issue with the texture to go around the bowl to try to carry the sound. Even though the texture is there you’ll get better at learning to play it because again I had a very thin bowl with less texture, but all it does is hum. This is one of the better brands that I really enjoy the value for my money. Also, it is great to ask Alexa, which chakra the tone is by the letter sound bowl are you purchasing. It is beautiful. I like that is not cheaply made and it is a great size. I would purchase from this company again as I have already. I really hope this review help you make your purchases. 👍 cheers to the new year.

Beautiful bowl in the 432 Hz very calming, wonderful craftsmanship decorative appearance. Someone would love to receive this as a gift. It’s easy to use and the sound is amazing. It’s also a nice size. About 7 inches across and about 8 inches tall.

It’s beautiful it came in a sealed box with like a perfectly fitted styrofoam thing making sure it doesn’t move (it was hard to take out but I’m not complaining because it didn’t arrive broken so mission accomplished on the packaging) but the sound is so beautiful and loud! It’s so loud. The outside is “rough” on purpose(in reply to a comment in the reviews making it sound bad) it still carries the vibration easily and strong and actually works more on the outside than the inside. 10/10 🙏

Love the sound perfect

I realy like the quality of sound with this sound bowl. Something to be aware of is that its advertised to be 442hz. When I used my hz meter it reads at 564hz. COMPLETELY different hz. When researching the effect of that frequency however its in a range relating to DNA repair and communication,so, since I'm fascinated by both right now I decided to keep it. It does have a better sound with the crystal stile vs the metal alloy. At least to me.

Oh my gosh this way surpassed my expectations. As a beginner this is a fantastic And gorgeous bowl with incredible sustain, very pretty. Super easy to use, I don’t LOVE the mallet, but I have a full silicone glass core coming in so that should make it even easier to play. There’s a bit of a “scraping” sound if you play the bowl more toward the rim with the included mallet/stick but none of you play it more toward the bottom.

Gave it to Daughter and she just loves it.

I have no idea of it's in tune or actually made of crystal but I have fun playing it. They sent a different implement than what's advertised and ignored my message about it
