Great product
I wasn't 100% sure how well these will deliver but we bought 2 and used them for camping and also on the beach during the day when we spent a week at the Outer Hebridean islands in July. I must admit they delivered better than I expected. It was an easy to set up and pack away job, self inflates quickly, not squeaky, comfy and keeps you warm from underneath provided you have a few further layers underneath. It connects to a double or could be used as two singles. These are narrow so maybe not the best for bigger people. I don't know how warm they are when it's used in the cold season but for spring /summer in 15-20+ degrees they seem to have been great. I can't comment on waterproofing as we had dry and sunny conditions all along. Overall, great product.

Self inflating
Love the colour and way it can be re rolled after use. Comfortable and as expected. Great colour, self inflates. Perfect for scout camp. Happy with purchase. Bought another brandbefore but the straps tore the mattress and I has to throw away. This one is much better quality and easy to use.

Great mat, but not wide enough
Works as intended, very easy to setup. We got 2 and they have been warm and comfortable. Only thing is you'll likely need more than 2 if in a group of 2 and you are a side sleeper. They are really narrow and half of you will be off when you wake up!

Easy to set up and comfortable
Me and my pregnant wife went camping, so comfort was very important. I bought three of these to combine them into one giant sleeping mat, as an additional layer for a double inflatable mat. It worked great, added extra softness and prevented any cold from coming up from the ground. When you first unpack it, it will be rolled up super tight. For a first time set up, here's what worked for me: 1. Open up the valve 2. Unroll as much as you can. It will try to roll back up, this is fine. 3. Leave it for 5 minutes 4. Close the valve 5. Now roll it back up in the opposite direction. This will separate some of the foam that's stuck 6. Roll it back out. Open the valve, manually inflate some air with your mouth. You have to get the valve cap in the right position in order to inflate even if it's open, you'll feel when it's inflating 7. Close the valve. Roll it in the original direction, then in the opposite direction. 8. Open the valve, and inflate some more. Do step #7 and step #8 a few times. 9. Each time it will keep its shape better and better 10. Do not use a mechanical pump to inflate this, and you can over inflate and cause delamination, as in the pictures of other reviews. When you want to use this next time, it will take shape much more easily.

Manages to avoid that 'air bed' feel
Really comfortable. Manages to avoid that 'air bed' feel. Thank you very much! Rolls up neatly and transports easily in the car for camping. Can top it up with breath for a more sturdy feel. Did not deflate. Will probably buy a second one for next trip as you can attach multiple mats together for a 'double'.

2 great 1 okay
Bought 3 of these for family camping, open them up upon arrival and let them self inflate for a while then blow in extra air (mouth or pump) lovely and comfy. Unfortunately one slowly deflates over a couple of days so needs re-inflating the other two are marvellous though. Haven't marked the deflating one so its pot luck every trip

First use after upacking - you'll think it's too thin on first setting this up....but it's not.....
This is a great self-inflating sleeping mat. If you're like me, and wondering why it's so thin after the first roll-out, then follow these instructions for a great initial-inflate - 1. Open the packaging and roll out the mat 2. Un-screw the air-valve - you'll hear air being sucked in for a while, and then it'll begin to quieten down 3. Leave the mat unrolled, with the air valve open, for around 15 minutes - it'll self-inflate to some degree on it's own 4. After around 15 minutes, you'll begin to see some proper form in the mat internal foam structure 5. Close the air-valve 6. *Lightly* roll the mat up - it'll be fairly bulky as we don't want to release any air 7. When you get to one end of the roll-up, bounce the roll a little - we're wanting to loosen any foam that's become compressed during shipping 8. Once you've rolled it one way, lay it flat again and then roll if loosely from the other end too - with a light bounce at that end as well. 9. Roll the mat out flat again 10. Open the air valve. 11. You will hear lots of air being sucked in again at this point, as the newly expanded/loosened foam now wants to suck in more air than beforehand 12. Leave the mat for a while, and repeat the above as required. 13. Top up with some manual blown-air if required, once you've reached full natural-expansion. 14. Doing the initial fill after unpacking using the above process will avoid having to manually blow lots of moist air into the mat on first-fill. The life of the mat will be much improved if we keep the amount of moisture-laden air that's injected into the foam to a minimum. Hope this helps - I'm more than happy with this mat, and the press-stud arrangement means I can join extra mats on the side or even on top of each other if required. I can't wait for the camping season to start!

Excellent - This mat is the one to get.
At this competitive price point, at 1.6kg these Mats are really good. When you first unroll it open the valve and allow it to inflate and this can take about 20 to 30 minutes then close the valve. Even after this when I opened the valve again I could hear more air being sucked in. The thickness of the Mat is advertised at 5cm and you actually get 5cm. The Mats can be connected together along the sides with the poppers to join two together or they can be stacked to provide 10cm of comfort (go and check how much a 10cm Mat costs) these really are excellent value for money. The generous bags allow you to roll them up relatively loose for storage if you haven't got space to store them open and flat. They roll up really tight for travelling and I even insist on taking mine backpacking or wild camping because they are so comfortable to sleep on, it makes all the difference. I bought five in the end because the wife insisted on two stacked together for her!! Who said camping is cheap? well these Mats will keep your money where it belongs.

Thick, comfortable pad is well built and self-inflates quickly but is a little bulky when rolled up
This is a very comfortable sleeping pad. It self inflates very well - the two inch foam provides enough expansion force to pull air in quickly and effectively. Within 5 minutes the pad is about 80% filled, and one quick breath puts in the other 20%. Simple. Or you can wait half an hour and the thing will be completely filled without you even having to blow into it. The snaps are a genius feature that allow quite a bit of versatility when you have more than one pad. Seems to be well built - the shell is bonded to the foam along almost its entire surface, save for the dime-sized depressions, which are actually useful to indicate if you've over-inflated it (the holes will bulge if you have). There are two downsides: the size of the pad when packed up (it's much bulkier and heavier than a 1 inch thickness pad) and the amount of effort required to roll it up (which is certainly doable but is much more difficult than a 1 inch thickness pad). I found that the best way to do it is to roll it up, leave it uncorked and then lean on it to get as much air out as possible, then cork it, unroll it, roll it back up (this time much more tightly because there is less air), near the end uncorking it again to let the air that you've managed to push to the end to come out, then cork it. It ends up as tightly rolled as you'll get it without herculean efforts although it does take a minute or two longer, and in the end, it's still quite a bit more bulky than would be ideal (and it's going to weigh the same regardless of how tightly you manage to pack it). UPDATE: I used three of these pads for myself and kids on a two month trip and they worked PERFECTLY. None of them failed in any way and still look and function as perfectly as when we first got them. If I could give this item 6 stars I would!
