Whatever danger lies ahead, itโs no match for LUNCH LADY! #2 Lunch Lady and the League of Librarians: Lunch Lady can sniff out something rotten like no one elseโand thereโs definitely something rotten going on in the library. #3 Lunch Lady and the Author Visit Vendetta: Dee, Terrence, and Hector are very excited about Author Visit Day. The humor, action, and illustrations make it very accessible, even for reluctant readers. My kids flew through the books and asked for more. Itโs fun, engaging, and encourages independent reading. Review: This series got my 8 yr old excited about READING!! - My 2nd grader is what you might call a reluctant reader. She is actually a fairly good reader, but insisted that she didn't like reading on her own. She liked to look at (picture) books, and have books read TO her, but she refused to read by herself. My husband and I are both big readers, so we were at a loss as to how to get her excited about reading. Apparently, the trick was to start with graphic novels! I saw her attention perk up when she brought home a Dog Man book from her school library (admittedly, not my favorite series, but to each his/her own...). I looked up "other series like Dog Man" and this was one that popped up. I went out on a limb and purchased the first book, which she devoured in less than 2 days. Completely on her own! I'd never seen her fly through a book so fast, and for the first time she asked me to buy MORE books for her. I got the rest of the set and she completed all 10 books in < 2 weeks. It got to the point where I had to remind her to turn off the light and go to sleep because she was so engrossed in reading! Things took off from there, and she's been churning through other graphic novel series ever since. So, THANK YOU Lunch Lady for getting her off the ground!

A Series That Made My Kids Love Reading
This series has been a huge hit in our house. The humor, action, and illustrations make it very accessible, even for reluctant readers. My kids flew through the books and asked for more. Itโs fun, engaging, and encourages independent reading.

Couldn't be happier! Best birthday present for myself.
In 2017, my best friend gifted my girls the Lunch Lady and the Bake Sale Bandit (Book 5). My 2 daughters (me included) loved reading it. Four years later: as a birthday present for myself, I wanted to buy something my girls would also enjoy. Out of the blue, they suggested the Lunch Lady book series. And tada, here I am, leaving a 5-star review! I also love the real story behind Lunch Lady. =)

Birthday Gift
Just received this set of 10 Lunch Lady books and am very excited to gift this to my nephew for his 5th birthday. I had given him one Lunch Lady book over the summer ("League of Librarians"), and apparently he loved it so much, I decided to get him this series so that he would have a nice, little Lunch Lady library. These books come numbered on the spine from 1-10, and the condition arrived in excellent shape, and perfect for gifting.

We love you Lunch Lady, Betty, and the Breakfast Bunch (Hector, Dee, and Terrence)
My three children and I delight in the characters (heroes and villains), the keep-you-on-the-edge-of-your-seat action and suspense, and the triumphant resolutions. All ten books are a joy to read and re-read. Bravo JJK!
