Warmth/waterproof This jacket was actually really warm. I was snowboarding in 20 degree weather and I was actually hot. I also wore it around and it kept me extremely hot. The jacket was also waterproof. I was snowboarding in the snow and fell a couple of times and at no point did the jacket get wet. Color The jacket I got was the white one. It’s actually a very bright white color. It is also designed for high visability so I was actually kind of easy to spot even in low visability. Utility The jacket had a ton of really deep big pockets. It made carrying things around a lot easier. The only downside was that the “phone” pocket (located on the inside of the jacket near the breast area) is actually really small and didn’t even come close to fitting my iPhone 8. It does have a slightly bigger pocket underneath that pocket but if you’re snowboarding or skiing your phone would be in an uncomfortable spot as it pokes you. This isn’t a big deal but it was a little annoying. Material/quality The jacket is made from really nice warm materials. It is a bit thicker than traditional snowboarding jackets but it was still really high quality. The stitching was really well done as well. The fur is also really nicely made. It got wet a couple of times and it always dried nicely and has not gotten matted and gross like most other fux fur. Overall I would totally recommend this jacket. I used it around town as well as snowboarding and it did a great job at keeping me warm and dry. It’s a nice fitting jacket and looks actually quite stylish and it’s a thicker coat. The only downside was the phone pocket but it’s just a minor inconvenience.

I'm so happy with this jacket! I purchased this coat after a lot of research to find a plus-size parka that would fit my bust and not make me look like a marshmallow. I was nervous buying based on the size chart but I knew I could return it if needed, so I took the leap. I ordered a 3xl since I have a larger bust and broad shoulders and I normally have a very tough time finding a coat that will allow me to move comfortably when fully zipped. I probably would have been fine in a 2xl, but the 3xl isn't overly big and I can easily move my arms and wear a sweatshirt underneath. The coat itself is great quality and I love the sweater-like cuff on the sleeve, it adds extra warmth and keeps snow out. It's a heavier coat and feels like it will keep me nice and warm in the negative winter temperatures of Northern New York. The fur on the hood is exactly what I was looking for, nice and fluffy and high quality. Overall I would highly recommend this coat to anyone looking for a fashionable and functional plus-sized parka.

LOVE LOVE LOVE this parka!!! I’ve had this for a few years now, it keeps me SO warm in brutal MI weather. It’s been below zero windchills all month and I can be out walking the dog at night and the only things cold are my face and gloved hands. I don’t zip it, I just snap it, and it’s still warm enough. It’s a heavy, bulky coat, so I don’t like to wear it everyday unless it’s really cold out. The pockets are lined with fleece (or something similar), the sleeve comes down and has a thumb hole, there are inside pockets as well as outside, it’s just an incredibly warm, well thought out coat!

This is a good quality jacket that will certainly keep you warm if you are a tall person. The reason I removed 1 star is because of the heaviness of the jacket; this jacket weighs at least 10 pds. That's what the postal office said. I'm short, 5'2". This jacket is good for medium to tall women, 5'7" and over. The sleeves on me were 6 inches too long. The hood was so big, it was swallowing me up. The hood was big enough to fit 3 heads in there. I usually wear between 1-2X but I got a 3x for room to spare for heavy sweater. It was a bit tight at the chest. I am quite busted, 42 DD and wear a size 16 pants. I was ok at the hips. Hope this helps you ladies. Note to Alpine North: Is it necessary to make this jacket so heavy? It's not very comfortable having to carry extra weight on your body coming from a jacket.

I absolutely LOVE my new jacket!! For reference I am: 5'8 1/2" 300 lbs Pear Shaped Hip: 60" Waist: 46" I ordered a size 4X (which is roomy for layers) in the Grape color. (I honestly believe I could have ordered the 3X and it would have fit perfect) Here's a little backstory...We moved to Bahrain 2 1/2 years ago and left all of our winter clothes in storage back in the states because who needs winter clothes in 120 degree heat?? Well, we planned a trip to Germany for Christmas this year and guess what? WE NEED WINTER CLOTHES!! I am plus size woman and have had to order all of my clothes online while living here. (This stresses me out because I am so hard to fit!) I am pear shaped, I carry my weight in my butt, hips, thighs, but also my arms...I usually need the waist of a 22 and the legs of a 24/26 depending on the cut...so lets just say online clothes shopping/trying to determine my size from reviews is EXHAUSTING! I went round and round for months researching winter coats for myself and wondering "would they fit??" We were getting down to the wire and I needed to make a decision. I fell in love with this coat online but desperately wanted it in black but they were sold out in my size :( so I kept shopping around but found myself always coming back to this coat. I bit the bullet and ordered the coat...praying it was true to the color on the computer screen (wine) and not bright purple. The coat arrived on time and when I pulled it out I was instantly in love! The color was even prettier in person!! It's a beautiful deep wine color! I love that there is small high-vis piping on some of the seams that will definitely come in handy at night wearing a dark coat. I love the color of the fur trim (tan), the fur is big and fluffy just what I wanted. There is a bungee around the hood to pull it tighter to your face, but I do wish there was also an adjustment on the back of the hood. The hood is rather large and could definitely use that extra adjustable feature. Also, for me I wish there was one more snap or interior bungees on the sides to cinch in more but I know that I have this problem with just about every top. The jacket is super warm and has tons of pockets! I honestly don't know if I will need my "extra layers" I purchased to keep me warm. All in all I am super happy with my purchase and would absolutely order this jacket again! I hope this helps :)

This is a very well made, high quality coat. I would say it fit about to size maybe slightly smaller than expected but not necessarily to increase your size. I like that the hood was detachable and still left a collar to zip up around your neck. Cuffs in the sleeves to help keep snow out of your jacket. A thoughtful thumbhole in the cuff if needed for even more added stability. It is not as bulky as the popular puffer coats but it is fairly heavy and does have some bulk so for those looking for a light lighter midweight winter jacket this may not suit your purpose although it is not marshmallow man bulk. It had a lot of extras like interior pockets the thumb hole and other thoughtful things that you wouldn't think you needed until you have them. It's an attractive well-made very warm coat. I would recommend it for those who are active outdoors and in need of a warm coat.

So far so good! This coat seems well-made, and it's very warm. Bring it on, Chicago winter, I'm ready! UPDATE: I've been wearing this coat for about a month now, and I love it! I can't remember the last time people told me a had a "really nice coat"! Haha... It's gotten down to about 30 degrees while I've been wearing it, and it keeps me comfy, even while hanging with a friend on the porch covid-style! I've washed it too, and the faux fur on the hood is just fine after hang-drying it. The hood fits my fairly large head really well, too. If I had to find one critique, it would be that the hood is attached with buttons instead of a zipper. Granted, the buttons are sewed on very well and don't seem to be getting loose yet, but a zipper would be better. All in all, this comfy, cute coat is keeping its five-star review! I'll write another update when the REAL Chicago cold hits. :)

I thought that I had ordered the coat in black, but must have clicked blue. I wound up very happy with the blue coat received as it is a favorite coat color. I wasn't certain from reviews as to what size to order as I tend to wear very bulky sweaters in the winter and layer clothes. The XXL was perfect after I checked and went by the manufacturers recommendationd. The faux fur is cozy and beautiful to wear. I love the light but warm insulation. The extra pockets are so handy on the sleeves and the bottom side pockets are really nice as they are larger and deep. You can easily store your gloves. I have a lot of allergies and this coat was just great with no animal fur or down. Also no wool but a great poly blend. If you have fabric allergies, this type of winter wear is wonderful.

I have never bought a coat without trying it on , so this was very risky for me to spend this kind of money without seeing it first. I was so happy when I opened the package and put it on. It fit exactly as the ad said it would. I am an XL and this coat still gives ne room to put on a heavy sweater and not feel like it’s too tight. The sleeve length is perfect and it is very warm. I wore it while we had a couple of weeks of -35 weather. I fed horses every day and was very comfortable. The hood is nice and big and even has a drawstring to tighten it up around the face in a blizzard. I like that the collar has fleece on the inside so when you zipper it all the way up it’s soft and warm against the face. It also has a nice little waist adjustment on the side on the outside that allows you to bring in the waist a couple of inches if you want that trimmer silhouette. The only thing that I wish is that it had a real fur trim. Faux fur is ratty and so not high end. All faux fur is made from petroleum products and I would much rather have a trim that is organic. It would look and feel much nicer and be actually being warmer as that what fur does. Other than that I am very happy with this product and am impressed with the quality that Alpine North puts into this product as well as the sizing that is so accurate.

This is a great coat. I bought an x-large thinking there would be room for a sweater not realizing that the coat would be warm enough without an extra layer. The hood is held on by a zipper and can be removed. The sleeves can be kept in place and not ride up by a thumb slit in the cuff. This is a vegan coat and is truly warm and light to wear. I would recommend this and find it is as warm as the goose down coat I wore before.

Genuinely keeps me warm amidst a Canadian winter—I for sure recommend this product. I love how large the hood is and the thumb holes and all the pockets! My only problems are A) the hood fur sheds a little and B) nothing secures the hood so when winds have blown too hard against me, the hood has flown off my head. Still I recommend this product. I love this coat. I was nervous ordering online but could not find quality plus size coats in my area. I was very happy I placed the order. The coat is very warm but not heavy. The coats great quality and I anticipate it will last for years to come. I love the pockets and that they aren’t small. They are nice and roomy if you have a big phone or just want to have your hands in them to stay warm. Oddly I noticed reviews that mentioned the coat being 10lbs. It definitely is NOT 10lbs. It is a great coat for Canadian winter weather. I got the 4x. I made sure to do a quick measure to ensure best fit. The sizing chart was easy to follow and true to size. I still have room to wear sweaters under the coat of need be. My only disappointment wasn’t with the coat itself but that Alpine North (the vendor) had a huge sale the week I bought my coat. Amazon doesn’t honour the price of the vendor even though they sold it directly from Alpine North. Over all the coat is definitely a quality product and I’d recommend it to anyone who wants a good warm coat for winter.

This is such an amazing jacket! It is bar-none the warmest one that I have ever owned. I only need one layer of clothes underneath it, where my past jackets have needed several layers to keep me warm. The fit is great, with long sleeves. The high neck has a soft lining, and snaps up comfortably, so that a scarf is not really needed. The main pockets are very large. The hood is simply fabulous! It is very large with alot of long fake fur. My head keeps warm even without a hat. The hood is so large that it almost covers my entire face if I pull it forward. I am so happy with my purchase! Way to go Apine North...you nailed it! 👍
