These exhaust fans can be mounted in-line with your existing duct work with little or no modification and can boost airflow by up to 900 cfm when used as a booster fan to extend long duct runs when your existing fan isnt enough or up to 460 cfm when used individually. They are perfect for short run air-cooled lighting systems, or for exhausting hot stale air from your grow room. This fan has 2 speed settings. Switch between the two speeds by changing one wire.Power cord not included. Suncourt fans can be hard-wired, or you can purchase a power cord separately. It works excellent and has definitely helped even out the temperature in our house (we only use the wood stove for heat). I wired it up to switch on with a thermostat. I ran the ducting in our attic and placed the fan halfway between the inlet and outlet and it moves a decent amount of air. You also can't here it run which is nice (and expected). The included instructions were sufficient and the product works great. It has only been in use for about 1.5 months so I am not sure about the durability of the unit. Review: Suncourt -- Inductor 10" In-Line 2-Speed Duct Fan (DB310P) - works good.easy to install... after running for 2 months it has started to get noisy... hope it's not wearing out already

Lasted only 15 months!
Worked great and was quite until it stopped working at all. Only lasted 15 months being controlled by temperature controller.

Moves air quietly
I purchased this to help cool my master bedroom and it does a great job at moving extra air to the room. The instructions say to mount the fan at least 6 feet away from the vent to reduce any noise the fan may make. I actually have it mounted right after the split in the duct work going to the master bedroom which is about 12 feet away from the vents. The only way that I can tell that this fan is on is the increased volume of air coming from the vents. Perfect solution for my situation. Hopefully it lasts for years.

Worked good - for a while
This little guy worked great for about 6 months, but now it is dead. I went to clean it since it had obviously stopped working (motor just hummed) and I expected it to be filthy inside. But in actuality it was very clean. I applied a little light machine oil to the shaft and got it to spin freely, but when I put the power to it it locked up again and in no way could be coaxed to start back up. I guess next time I'll go for something a little higher quality.

Works good
I have a wood burning stove in my den, that will cook you out of the room. I installed the fan to try to blow the heat from the den into the rest of the house through the duct system. It has worked very well. Easy installation and works great. Planning on adding another this fall.

A beast
I use this thing for exhaust near the floor which gets sprayed down from time to time. I totally misuse this thing and it's still running strong. Will buy again when it eventually goes out though.

variable speed fan control
I installed this fan yesterday. It does what it says it will do. I may be trying to supply too many rooms with this fan as I don't notice a difference in the rooms with the longer runs. Installing the fan was straightforward and only took a couple of hours.
