Great speaker for a great price
I bought this to use in an old car with no stereo. Works great. Car is fairly loud but i can still hear this speaker over the engine. I do also use it indoors as well. Sound quality is very good in both situations. When compared to a jbl flip 4, sound wise, i felt this was a little more rounded, which i prefer. The jbl flip 4 was a little heavier on higher frequencies, especially when volume is higher. I felt the flip 4 was a little harsh at peak volume but this was less so. Also, with the offset drivers in this, the sound is dispersed differently. I prefer it as wherever you point it, you get your music and it is consistent. Not louder in any particular spot. For the price, this really is a great speaker. It boasts similar features to market leading speakers for a lot less. It feels sturdy and well built. I have not needed to test the waterproof functionality at this point. The battery life is amazing! I've only had to charge it a couple of times so far. Using as a hands free in my old car worked great as well. I have used other speakers that were muffled and the other person had issues hearing me. This was not crystal clear as i was using in the car, but it was much better than what i had used before. If this were lost or damaged, i would replace it like-for-like. If you want the brand name, get the jbl flip 4. That's a great speaker. This one is just as good, just doesn't have the leading brand name or price tag. With this speaker, you can only connect 2 together, whereas with later jbl, you can connect more. But you don't need an app with this. Connectivity is easy and solid. No drops in signal as yet and it connects quickly every time i use it.

High Quality bargain
I started with a £50 budget for a speaker and ordered the stormbox, maxsound plus and the ultimate ears wonderboom for a comparison. out of the box, all were nice products, aesthetically pleasing. I expected the wonderboom to be a higher quality than the tribits because of the pricing but as they all seemed well built, thought the diff would be in sound quality. So, I started by choosing my favourite from the 2 tribits (maxsound and stormbox). This was no easy task and I sat for 3 hours undecided. The maxsound has a beautiful warm and well balanced tone, ideal for easy listening - it’s a similar proposition to a Bose in respect of the balance but it lacks just a little bass for my musical preferences. The stormbox offers in bass what the maxsound lacks, but lacks the maxsounds warmth and mid-range balance. For dance music, anything beaty, or HIIT videos that you end up doing in quarantine, the stormbox edges it. It’s a close run thing though. The extra features of the stormbox are what decided it for me - the surround sound is much more immersive, and it offers joining up with a second speaker. Having chosen my favourite of the tribits, I tried the wonderboom. Frankly, it couldn’t live with the stormbox for depth and it couldn’t live with the maxsound for balance and warmth. Tribit seem to have nailed it with these speakers, they connect Bluetooth quickly and easily, are well made and got the price, either speaker is an absolute bargain. Obviously can’t comment yet on longevity or really on battery quality but I do have a pair of tribit headphones which I love and have served me well for a while so I’m confident in this regard as well.

Great Speaker!
I’ve had a ueBoom2 box before, which was a bit more expensive, but much worse. I’ve seen (and heared) the Tribit xBoom at a friend and was blown away. My mind: “I need to buy this thing :-) “ Treble and bass are really well at all possible volumes. Amazingly good, I think! Only when you turn it very loud, you realize at some point that the bass is taken back, so that nothing oversteering (is it the correct word??). But that is OK. To the rear side: The rubber strap, behind which is the AUX port and the mini-USB port (to charge), can (at least at the beginning) be opened quite difficult. That is not bad, because so everything is a bit better protected from water penetration. The Powerbutton plays a short (and quiet) melody when turning on and off and shows the current state of charge (4 LEDs of 25% each) According to the data sheet, it keeps a good 20h and needs 4h to load. I have not yet come out of power in between. The x-boom button: Here you can take the bass back or just give full power Then of course there is the pairing button with which all sorts of Bluetooth-enabled devices can be paired. Once pressed long and the discovery begins. To the front: This is kept simple: 3 buttons - Loud, Quiet, and Play / Pause (press once) or continue (quickly press 2x) Pro: - lightweight - stable carrying loop (screwed, no push button!) - great sound! - Price is great! - easy connection to Amazon Alexa (now the Echo Dot sounds like a big one :-) ) Cons: The only thing that comes to mind here: the top and bottom is open. This means that the speaker could sometimes get damaged if something comes to the swinging covers (whatever that is). Here a small grid might be safer. But I will not remove a star because of that. The thing is in the office (the room is determined 40 m2) and now runs almost the whole day, at night is loaded and the next day it goes on.

Great For The Price!
Having used many portable speakers this by far has to be one of the best for the price range. It has a rich bass and hold up with high and low frequencies quite well. Their is barely any noticeable distortion when maxing the speaker out and is quite easy to connect to, the function buttons are easy to use and the overall build quality is fairly decent. The speaker has a battery life indicator which is quite useful when out and about. The only downside to the speaker is htat it uses microUSB which in my opinion is quite an annoying and obsolete connector. Would have liked to of seen USB Type-C. But overall if you want a decent quality sounding portable speaker with decent bass and easy connectivity for a cheap price I would highly recommend it.

Outstanding sound quality from such a small and relatively low cost speaker
Very very impressed with the sound quality from this little device. I have several high end HiFi systems in my home and have been chasing good sound for a long time. This speaker has a very impressive sound quality and a genuine 360 degree sound distribution of sound. It is easy to get good sound and the unit is very tollerent of where it is positioned. It will distort if turned up high enough but at that point it is already surprisingly loud and probably louder than most people will turn it up to. It will fill a normal home sized room with good sound. I was expecting the Bass Boost to be overkill but it is perfect and I leave it on all the time. If this gets lost or stolen, I will instantly buy another. Perfect for using outdoors and fits into a bottle holder or backpack drink pocket. Unit turns off when not being used. Can't comment on battery life yet but no issues so far.

Awesome sound from such a small speaker
In my work environment, several of the guys are using Bluetooth speakers with their company iPads and I thought I'd like to do the same. But some of these speakers sounded a bit tinny or distorted at higher volumes and so I did a bit of research to find a reasonably priced one that is durable and with a good bass sound. I decided on the Tribit Maxboom and I wasn't disappointed! Even without the XBass Boost selected the music has a really full and rich bass tone but without losing any of the treble and mid-range quality either. I'm really impressed by the quality of sound that comes out of this small, almost pocket sized speaker! Also, the sound is multi-directional through 360 degrees so you don't need to keep turning it round to where the people are. I also like that you can answer calls on your phone through the speaker if you wish, or mute them. It also looks well made with quality materials and amazingly, is fully waterproof, so ideal for the beach, pool or garden. It's really easy to use and paired readily with my iPhone. I see that they offer an 18 month warranty with an extra 12 months if you register it online. I haven't tested the durability of the battery but they claim you'll get 20 hours out of a charge, so that's good as far as I'm concerned.

Beats UE Boom 2 at a lower price
I have worked in professional broadcast audio including developing active studio monitor loudspeakers during my career so I have a good idea of what sounds OK and what compromises to expect with portable Bluetooth speakers. I have tried several of the usual options in my search for a half-decent sub-£100 Bluetooth speaker, including the Anker Soundcore models, UE Boom 2 and several other generic models all around the same price point. Of these the UE Boom wins hands down for overall sound quality, battery life and ease of reliable Bluetooth connectivity - until now; all the above models have been displaced from my regular portable listening duties by the Tribit StormBox.. In sound quality terms it is a step up from the UE Boom 2 for bass extension and overall dynamics, even using the UE Boom phone app to optimize the frequency balance of that speaker, and without using the Tribit extra bass option on the Tribit. The Tribit battery life also seems excellent, along with very reliable/predictable Bluetooth connectivity. I'm so impressed with the Tribit I'm giving away my UE Boom 2 and have just ordered another pair of Tribit Stormboxes for the kids as Christmas presents... will be interesting to see how well they perform when linked together in a pair once they are allowed to open their presents on Christmas day 😊 One final tip - you can save £20 if you order direct from Tribit uk website where you can get a pair for £100 in the special bundle offer; they are still fulfilled by Amazon so they arrived within 2-3 days - not sure why this pair bundle is not available direct on Amazon uk. Only slight criticism would be for Tribit to release a phone companion app to allow battery level check etc, as per the UE Boom app allows.

Awesome Sound
As this was my first purchase of a Bluetooth speaker I read multiple reviews before making a decision. Battery life and richness of sound were my deciding factors and as these were mentioned in a positive light in many other reviews, I decided on the Tribit Maxboom. I have not been disappointed with any aspect of this speaker. Although slightly more expensive than some of the competition I believe you get what you pay for. The speaker arrived with half charge thus enabling me to easily connect to my mobile device and give it a sound test. I expected a slightly tinny sound as the speaker isn’t very big but how wrong could I have been. The sound is excellent and switching the Xtra Bass button really gives it a boost. The 360 degree sound output is also really good. We now hang the speaker under our outdoor parasol and the music is just as good from any seat. Range is also excellent from the mobile device. This speaker is suitable for all genres of music as it has effortlessly played from Lady Gaga to Hawkwind. Volume is enough for any gathering with no distortion noted when maxed out. It charged very quickly and I haven’t had to recharge yet. The 4 charge level indicator lights don’t stay on but pressing any other button, (volume up/ down) and they illuminate briefly to give you an idea of charge remaining. I’m so impressed with this speaker that I will be buying another one to pair with the original for that extra depth of sound in the garden
