Do the wheels roll well? (Don't know much about skating)

yes, but as I mentioned they are hard wheels, meaning they are not of the soft variety that roll over cracks and rocks well. The board is great. I put softer wheels on it so it would be smoother for my son. Still, it is a great to learn on if you find a smoother surface, or are a pretty good rider already. Soft wheels durometer 78 (cruising) , trick wheels durometer 90-100. these are prolly durometer 99.
