Sturdy, useful, and as advertised. I bought this for a recorder but I actually use it for my phone most of the time. It serves as a tripod but because it is flexible, it can attach to almost anything so it is an all-purpose product. Great find at a great price.

I own the Zoom H1n and H2n and this stand is the perfect stand for both recorders. It keeps the recorders from contacting the ground, which, especially for the H1n, greatly improves the potential of getting good recordings. I love the flexibility of the stand, yet it is still very rigid and will not collapse while holding a recorder. I highly recommend this to anyone who needs a stand for either the H1n or H2n. This is a very decent little tripod for the money. The mounting hardware is plastic, but doesn't seem flimsy. I like the legs that are flexible, but still pretty stiff and sturdy - it stands as a tripod with no issues, but you also have the option of wrapping around other supports. The mounting bracket doesn't seem to be of much use, it won't securely hold anything thicker than an iPhone. . But as long as you can use the screw mount for your recorder or camera, it holds well

Love this thing. So much better than I expected. Wrap around a pole with a zip tie. Stand on a table or wrap around a mic stand.

I think I'll be returning mine because it doesn't quite work for my use cases (need a field recorder to stay in exactly one spot), but it could be ok for some. I think if you need a very temporary place to set something and are not picky about it potentially moving around, this could be a good adaptable stand. For my use, the legs of the tripod don't lock in place or even tension in place, relying entirely on the friction of the rubberized ball feet to keep things upright. If you're mounting anything heavier than a pound, there's a chance the legs will slightly bend away, especially if any movement is nearby. The length is good and the flexibility is good, I'm just less confident with the idea of mounting several hundred dollars of hardware to it and expecting things to stay in one place. The mount quality is ok - a lot of plastic that seems durable enough, but without testing it long term I can't validate whether it will hold. So, as with many things this is going to depend on your use case.

The part that mounts did not feel secure as the plastic felt like it was slipping, needed to constantly tighten my h5n zoom recorder to the mount from time to time
