🌞 Shield your skin, save the reef!
Product description Lasts up to 4 Hours TropicSport passes both the US 80 minute and Australian 240 Minute Water Resistance Tests. While we recommend that you reapply often, TropicSport lasts 3x longer than the competition. Safe for our Environment TropicSport is a mineral sunscreen, free of harsh chemicals that damage our environment. We do not use Avobenzone, Oxybenzone, Octinoxate, Octocrylene, or Octisalate. These chemicals are endocrine disruptors and kill coral reefs through a process called coral bleaching. Safe for You Our only two active ingredients, non-nano Zinc Oxide and Titanium Dioxide create a physical barrier against the sun without leaching into your blood stream. Chemical sunscreens often contain carcinogenic, hormone disrupting compounds that can be found in your bloodstream less than 30 minutes after use. Review: Holy cow, this is the mineral sunscreen I've been looking for for years - I hate bad mineral sunscreen. It's chalky, takes forever to rub in, and makes me so greasy that I feel like if I even sidle up to a piece of furniture, I'm going to immediately stain it. So I've tried TONS of different brands of sunscreen. They're all basically the same. Even the ones that say "non-greasy" are actually greasy. Then I tried TropicSport. Wow. It rubs in easily, and leaves a matte sort of finish, so I don't look shiny or chalky white. A little bit goes a very long way. I would just say that if you are like me and have been trying all sorts of different sunscreens to find one that is reef-safe, non-greasy, non-chalky, and protects from the sun, then stop looking because this is it. And it is worth every penny. Review: I didn't even burn in Aruba! - I was looking for a sunscreen to use in Aruba that would help block those rays a bit - because I totally love to be tan, but burnt, not so much. The resort advertises a little 2oz deal they sell for as much as this 6.5oz bottle (I think that's the size it is- can't remember for sure) sells for that is good for the coral reef and won't harm the environment. It only makes sense to get the bigger one and just toss it in the checked luggage. I was hoping for the best because by the time it hit mid-Oct, my summer base tan was all but gone. We spent a full week in Aruba, out in the sun almost all day, every day, and I didn't burn even once! I was soooo happy with this sunscreen. It did so much better than I ever imagined. It doesn't make you greasy. It has no funny odor. It just works. And works great. Definitely a worthwhile purchase for some stellar sunscreen that holds up against water, sweat, sand...everything!

Like the product…packing sucks
I chose this product bc I wanted to reduce the amount of add’l ingredients / chemicals & to be reef safe. Lifeguards have been using zinc oxide forever, it’s great protection. Yes, zinc leaves a white film after applying but I find it dissipates within about 20 minutes or so. The thicker you apply the longer it will take. IMO, you don’t need it too thick, a smaller amount goes a long way. I also do NOT rub it in to alleviate the whiteness, you want it to do that on its own, rubbing it in will just lessen your protection. I apply my moisturizer first, then the zinc so i find that helps with the application of it. The good thing about it being white is while applying it you can easily see areas you may have missed, unlike especially sprays. Do I care about the white ? No !! I grew up in the 60’s where we applied baby oil, cocoa butter & even sat on the beach with a foil lined piece of cardboard to better absorb the sun rays to get that great Southern California tan !! Yeah, I looked great…fast forward many years & here comes the skin cancer !! Had 3 rounds on my face. My dad and brother-in-law both had BIG chunks of their ears removed due to skin cancer. I’ll take the white any day over going thru that again. If I’m at home, I could care less about the white film. If I’m going to work or shopping, by the time I’ve gotten dressed, applied makeup & have done my hair, the white is blended in. If I’m at the beach WHO CARES if you’re a little white. Isn’t the point of sun block to block the rays & prevent sunburn & ultimately skin cancer ? The zinc is such a better barrier between you & the sun. I’m not at the beach for a fashion show. I can't really vouch for how well or how long it protects at the beach if you are laying directly in the sun or out in the water for hours at a time because I would NEVER lay out & bake in the sun like I did as a teenager. It escapes me that people still do that knowing full well the damage that will occur. If you do that, I would recommend like all other sunblocks, apply fairly frequently. For the times I am in the sun with regular daily activities, it is protecting me just fine. The packaging ? Seriously needs a redesign. The container is not that flexible like a tube and there is a small…SMALL…opening at the bottom to dispense the product. Comes out VERY slowly due to the viscosity of the zinc and with such a small opening you really have to squeeze it. I’m pretty sure a lot will be wasted in the container towards the end because you just won’t be able to squeeze it hard enough to get it to come out. Other than that, I like the product but I would not purchase again due to this design.

Good quality
Good sunscreen. My sons used for a Sea Base scouting trip. luckily they put it on regularly and didn't end up burnt. Safe for reef so approved to use at St. Thomas for a sailing trip

BEST SUNSCREEN EVER
Pros: stays on even longer than stated--water was still beading on my skin when i took a shower 7 hours later (definitely need to scrub off in the shower with a washcloth or loofah--doesn't hurt, just really sticks to your skin which i think is good). Cons: price--very expensive (but with my great experience, it was totally worth it) Thickness --tip rub in thoroughly right away, don't wait!!! it will have a white hue but isn't overtly white on your skin if you rub it in good enough--disclaimer i'm Caucasian and pretty pale, so it may have a different effect on darker skin tones Overall a great product for pale people/sun sensitivity like myself. Provides great sun protections. I barely got pink when at the beach in full sun exposure and i typically burn BAD no matter how much sunscreen i wear. I plan to recommend this to everyone i know

Toothpaste that works
Don’t get me wrong, I’m aware this is a better solution to reefs and humans on toxic ingredients. That’s how most of us landed in this item. Healthier if you will, but the feeling on the skin is soooo bad. It’s like i’m spreading toothpaste on my skin that will stain every single thing that comes in contact with me. Hoping that tech gets better one day on these items.

Best sunscreen ever!
Please do not hesitate to purchase this sunscreen! It ticks all of the boxes for me and I am so glad that I decided to give it a try. It is cruelty free, one of my requirements for any product the I use! It is reef safe and does not contain any chemicals with may cause cancer. I purchased it for a trip to the Outer Banks of North Carolina and even after spending hours in the sun on the beach none of my family members who used this product had any sunburn. It rubs in so well and we had no issues with any whiteness left on our skin. Please give it a try, I am a customer now for life!

REEF SAFE - Great sun protection and water resistance
Offers really good sun protection. It is a mineral based sunscreen so it’s not intended to fully absorb/rub into the skin. Some people complain about this because it leaves a whiteish coating on your skin, but that’s what it is supposed to do, create a barrier to the sun, which is different from the more widely used/common chemical based sunscreens (ie. banana boat). TropicSport holds up well and visibly stays on after time spent in the water. Mineral Sunscreens are safer and healthier for humans and the environment compared to chemical based.
