My husband was dry-bit by a copperhead. There was some swelling and he started having snake-bite reactions, but mildly. We bought this as a hail mary before using an epi pen or taking him to the hospital. It reduces the symptoms. It works well enough that it could save a life in a scenario where antivenom is not a possibility. Native snakebite remedies the world over seem to use plants from the pea family. Around here the native cherokee used snakeroot, and he was bit by a snake around here. And it works.

I bought this to improve the health of my feet and toenails. I used it daily, making it into the nail bed and under the toenail well. I did not notice a significant improvement after a week. I'll continue to use until I've used up the entire bottle. I'll update this review if I see an improvement. Other than that, I don't feel this oil works for me.

I picked up a nail fungus at some point. My nail was white and flaking in layers all the way from the base to the tip. I read about this oil and figured I'd give it a try. To aid in the application, every third night before going to bed, I applied a drop or two of the snakeroot oil to the nail. Then, I cut the finger off a latex glove and stretched it over the toe, sealing in the oil for the night. After ~2-3 months, it was clear that the nail was growing in properly from the base. It's taken 9 months (nails grow slowly), it's 100%! I would HIGHLY recommend this product!

No returns for this even if you get blisters, red skin, and itchy lizardy patches like I did with topical application. I can't even imagine what it would do to your insides!

If you're thinking of buying this to treat toenail fungus, don't. It won't work. I had a horrible case of toenail fungus on one of my big toes--more than half the nail came off--and tried every natural remedy I could find, including snakeroot. Nothing worked, and I didn't want to go the prescription route, because those drugs can damage your liver. Not worth the risk for a cosmetic issue. Finally I read somewhere that iodine works, and they were 100% right! I bought a $3 bottle of Humco decolorized iodine (also known as yodo blanco) and within a few weeks the yellowing disappeared, and 6 months later my nail has almost totally grown back. If you don't mind the discoloration it causes, regular iodine works just fine, maybe even better. Try it!
