High-quality, delicious honey -- "Fresh 2020"? please explain
This is the second time I ordered this honey, and it is very good. However, I could not help noticing the printed indication on the bottom of the jar: "LN/20-01-2020" (in Europe that would mean January 1st, 2020); also some beginning crystallization at the bottom of the jar. Since January 1st cannot be the production date, what is it; if it is the "best by" date, then was I sent a jar of honey from 2018? In that case what does "fresh 2020" mean? No big deal since honey never goes bad, and if it goes on crystallizing, I can use the bottom of the jar to sweeten my tea (I usually "take my honey" with a spoon, not for medical reasons but because I have developed an allergy to chocolate). No big deal, but an explanation is needed. Amazon, please, explain right here. [Meanwhile, you, potential buyers, might want to order directly from Ancient Foods -- with Google, they are easy to find.] Addition (Sunday, September 20) -- I forgot to mention that I placed my order at the end of August (August 21,2020) when this honey became available again and when Amazon advertised it as "fresh 2020". At the same time, I also ordered the Ancient Foods' Irini honey, also marked "fresh 2020"; it has an expiration date on the bottom of the jar: EXP DATE 30/11/2022, i.e. November 30, 2022, two years from now. You might want to check the Klio Tea company (Google will help you find them); their honey is first rate too, and about the same price, or a little less, than at Amazon's. I checked today to see if my review had been posted (it was) and to see if there was any explanation from Amazon: there was none. We need Amazon more than they need us, and they know it. However, I am already ordering a lot of 'exotic' or just hard-to-find groceries and cheeses from stores located in New Jersey and Pennsylvania (I live in Michigan). Just Google "name of product -- where to buy?", and you will find what you want.

Dont pass this one by TASTE IT . ITS WORTH EVERY CENT..
This product arrived in the most super wrapping ever it was wrapped to guarantee no spillage. I wish I had photographed it, I was amazing. The taste is great I have travelled to Crete where it comes from. To taste honey it's best to take a teaspoon full hold it in your mouth and let it melt the flavor slowly and you will fall in love with it. This honey would be considered medicinal in Greece . Greece is notorious for its honey. I had the pleasure of living there as a second home for 20plus years. Enjoy and take in the flavor .It was wrapped in a,literal plastic kind of carafe incredible .

Deliciously smooth
I’m a big proponent of Manuka honey, but in doing research, I found that Greek honey is even higher quality than Manuka. I was not disappointed. The price is a bit high, but other than that, I loved it.

Sadden to see go down
I bought this honey many times before and it was the best honey I ever tasted, the flavor, thick consistency, smoothness, and beautiful color. Sadden to see this sample came with cloudy ness, no distinct flavor. It is very obvious bees are fed with sugar. Not much different than worse honey you can buy from your regular store.

High quality
In my house we use a lot of honey, I’ve used all types of honey through the years, American and Greek, This time I was actually looking for Manuka honey because of its medicinal properties a few months ago I had spinal fusion revision and even though I had a flu shot I can’t risk getting the flu or a cold which for me the finished product is asthma So I saw I was running out of honey for my herbal tea, so I thought maybe Amazon has Greek honey since it’s snowing outside I can have it delivered sure enough Amazon had quite a selection some I had tried already but this particular honey caught my eye since I was familiar with the region In one day free delivery it was smartly packaged no breaks no drips I tasted it, magnificent, had my family try it they approved, a bit expensive but well worth the price I’m pretty sure this will help me keep any cold symptoms away.

elegant, refined, spicy
This is honey for the adult connoisseur. It's not as sweet, creamy and up-front delicious as many honeys (which I also love to eat!). Plus, it's almost medicinal, in a completely good way. For me, the best way to eat this is on its own, straight up, in small doses. It's very good stuff.

You can taste the Thyme
This is my second jar. It is a bit pricey, but I went with Honey from the greek islands as pesticides are not used there. The flavor was so different than regular clover or flower honey. The thyme gives it a unique flavor. I highly recommend a try.
