These are easy to install and work very well. They prevent your truck from sagging under weight, but at the cost of a slightly stiffer ride. However, if you know what you’re getting into, they’re fantastic. Avoid cheap brands that will fall apart in a month. Invest in these and enjoy quality years.

first thing. they are quality... not a lot to go wrong from what i can see... SO SIMPLE TO INSTALL.. I put blocks on my tacoma wheels, got a jack and lifted the body a little and loosened 4 bolts( on each side- no need to take them off completely) removed the old ones and put them into the trash and installed these. tried to line them up the same, tried to tighten everything around evenly and then torqued them to 52LBS... took 15 minutes. NOW for the results.. I have a bit of weight in the back, my front is raised 1 inch with bilstein 5100's so my rear was sagging. this cleared that right up.. and it rides perfect.. i really cant tell any difference except for no body roll, smoother recoil over bumps and its leveled back out. This will pay dividends ( IM POSITIVE) when towing the boat. these are 500 lbs each side and are plenty for a pretty stock Tacoma 4x4 4 door. I wondered if i should get the black ones... no need.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: Put these on my 2022 Tacoma sr5. Wanted to tow a travel trailer at 3500lbs. Well within the Tacoma limit. Used these to help with the squatting. Easy to install Worked as described.

I’ve had these installed on my truck for five months now. The product appears to be of good quality with fit and finish. The foam on the springs is extremely dense and hard. The springs were easy to install and just required loosening and tightening the u bolts. The spring screws onto the brackets and fit as intended. When the truck is riding on the springs, it rides very stiff, however towing and carrying weight is significantly improved. A few months with just the springs I ended up upgrading my leaf springs. When I installed the new leafs, I noticed the sumo spring foam was deformed in the shape of where the stock bump stop rests. The foam has since mostly recovered to its normal shape, so it seems durable. All in all, I’m pleased with the springs as they help with towing and carrying weight in the bed. Without weight or towing the truck rides rough like a 1-ton truck, but the springs work as advertised.

2019 Tacoma TRD Offroad - These "springs" absolutely do the job with heavy loads. We tow a 16FT travel trailer with about 450lbs of tongue weight and an Andersen weight distribution hitch setup. While towing the truck now feels completely stable and firm in back and the ride is very smooth. Take note the ride is slightly stiffer without the trailer at slow speeds since the Sumo's are pretty close to the frame stops however it's hardly noticeable on the freeway. Without a load the Tacoma definitely feels more connected to the road like a sports car feel without the harshness and I wouldn't hesitate to purchase these again for my next truck. Worth the money in my opinion if you're looking for a more stable feel while towing and when not towing. Great product.

So far these have been great. I installed on my 2019 Toyota Tacoma limited versus adding a leaf pack or airbags. Much easier installation. I was able to install these with basic tools and a floor jack. One concern you may want to consider when installing to mark location of existing U-bolt, so the shackles are bolted in the same location and obviously properly torque u bolts a second time after a few miles of driving. I went with the blue option versus the black. I was concerned about ride quality or stiffness with the heavier duty black option. I don’t feel any difference when riding empty however under a full load, I see less than an inch of sag. Probably the best option that I could’ve gone with. I wonder if the polymer foam material will lose some structure or weight load characteristics with time and use however for the cost I could easily replace them in a few years.

What a great little addition to the Tacoma! Ever since I got into the overlanding scene, my truck has typically been under load. With an RCI steel over the bed frame and an iKamper along with a hodgepodge of other day to day bits like a high lift Jack, water jugs and Jerry cans. My truck suffered from pretty severe body roll on the winding roads and I would often impact the stock bump stops when on the trails. After putting these little guys on there I’ve noticed a significant reduction (almost complete elimination) of body roll under load, no sagging, and a super soft ride when off road. I bought the lower density sumos (blue) and they do great for any and all weekend outings. All of this on stock suspension, too! Is it worth the money? Absolutely. Do you need to buy the heavy duty ones? Not unless you’re hauling a trailer or have a serious load in the bed. The blue will do just fine for standard gear, bed caps, and RTT’s.

Great deal on these. Bought them used but as far as I can tell they're 100% new. Installed them today. I didn't measure but I have less sag in the rear. Have a topper and carry 200 or so pounds in addition in the bed. Without the extra 400+ lbs back there I don't think I'd need them. Feel less drop in the rear when stepping on the gas. Takes the bounce out of bumps with more stiffness. Feels like I got new struts. Very happy but if not carrying extra weight in the bed it might feel too stiff for some. That said it's a nice upgrade.

Nice product and easy to install on my 2023 tacoma. I would recommend. I see a difference in sag when towing.

I recently installed a set of these bump stops on the rear of my D40 Frontier and they've made a considerable difference over stock. We occasionally load the truck up with a bunch of camping gear and the weight over the rear axle would make the rear suspension sag a bit and handling would suffer. With the SumoSprings the sag is gone and the truck handles great! These may be expensive but they're super easy to install vs an add-a-leaf and they do the job I was hoping they would do!
