Can't believe I spent $4.99 on this...5 Chapters, each about 2 pages in length except for the resources section. A glossary that contains info that a 10 year old would know. The author has you connect an LED without a resistor. When in the world is that a good idea??!! Not sure if this author could tell his Anode from his cathode.(or could tell his Anode from a hole in the ground to be honest) May have well just chucked a $5 bill out the car window. :\

Great contains guide, but this guide will not make you an Arduino expert overnight – in fact, nothing can. What you will learn from this book, however, are the fundamentals of this amazingly versatile platform, and you’ll also have the opportunity to get a firsthand feel for what it can do. The information here is intended for the absolute beginner in electronics, circuitry, and programming. This guide for beginner's person. If you are a newbie so you can try this essential Arduino eBook. I hope that's the perfect guidebook for everyone. Recommended!

Extremely basic - does not provide any additional information for an individual who has basic understanding of programming, hardware, etc. This is more geared towards an individual who has never delved into electronics/computers.

What a disappointment . A missed opportunity to provide amateur's with a solid grounding. The e-book seemed to be more geared to promoting free downloads of other publications. If I could have asked for my money back I would have.

Good basic information, great start

I would have awarded no stars at all if I could. This book is a rip off. Double spaced print, print only on about 35% of the page, several blank pages, many pages of ads for other books by the same author. A COMPLETELY basic book that includes some inaccuracies such as saying that a resistor needs to be attached to both legs of an LED! For someone who an not understand the basic literature available free on the Arduino website the book might be helpful. There are many other books that offer the same level of explanation but with much more besides. This is a LONG way from being a "complete" beginners guide.

Not particulary helpful, seemed to be mostly about offering "free" books by the author.

I got the kindle edition mislead by some positive reviews and felt like a fool when the book arrived at my device.There's not a single useful information in the entire book.It is a short book with small paragraphs that state the obvious in every sentence, giving no practical info at all.No diagrams, no circuits, no code.The rest of the book (actually, that's almost the entire book) is aimed at advertising other books or to celebrate other works by the author.

I bought this expecting a decent and detailed insight into the Arduino. How wrong I was. There's little or nothing in it that isn't freely available on line, and with much better explanations. What explanations there are are poor and while they may be technically correct, they don't tell the reader what he/she needs to know. Analogue/digital are prime examples.Much of the book looks like a direct crib from web sites. Hey first program - install blink from the Arduino supplied stuff. And I got roomed for this.In short - don't waste your money.

It is not a complete book it gives only certain information about basics, the cost is high in India it will cost only below Rs. 100. I couldn't seen the 256 pages only seen about 50 pages in on line version
